"Clean quiet comfortable rooms. Enjoyed our stay - thank you"

We are two friends walking the south west coastal path, and booked into a family room. Pleased to find on arrival that it was two separate decent sized rooms with shared separate bathroom. Clean and comfortable. Would recommend.

The family room was cosy and well decorated. Also the pub/restaurant as well as the village are definitely worth a visit! The hosts have been highly friendly and helpful.

position on the SW Coast path, friendly helpful staff

Price for the room was rather more than we normally pay in March, trying to keep to a tight budget. However, food was more reasonably priced and tasty.

"A smashing Cornish inn with a warm welcome"

8.0

Friendliness is the key, a warm welcome and a superb feeling of cosiness. It's a small establishment, it's straight out of central - casting for a Cornish harbourside inn and it's spotless and staffed by genuine people who are clearly well-liked and local lynchpins. For us the pet friendly tag was a great attraction and we simply had no problems; we particularly rated the enclosed beer garden as a safe place for our dog and it is a great asset even in January! It's in a magnificent location and within 200m of the cliff path and harbour slipways and sits in the Portloe micro-climate bubble.

I need a gluten -free diet, this wasn't a problem for the highly flexible kitchen staff. The cooked breakfasts were great but if I had to comment then a little more GF choice for the evening meal would have tipped my personal overall rating from good into excellent though I must say that there was more than enough choice for my non-GF partner and the fayre was excellent.

"Great stay in a lovely village"

Lovely quaint old inn above the bar. Lovely dinner in the dining room.

The noise from the bar carried upstairs.
