Travelershome Ciampino Suite

Great location, close to airport as well as train link to Rome Termini (15min by train). It is a quiet area and great if you need to be close to the airport or prefer to stay outside of Rome with a good and fast connection. The host was helpful throughout and communicated quickly and clearly all the time.

The only downside for us (which isn't related to the place itself but the experience) was that it appeared initially that our booking and personal details were compromised. We received a message just a few days before our booking asking us to pay as there had been an issue with the payment if we wanted to keep our booking - however, we quickly communicated with the host and they assured us that the booking was complete and that it must have been a fishing attack.

This is a room in an apartment already occupied by a male. As a lone female traveller it was highly unsettling to discover this. The place was clean but that was the only positive. I was horrified to realise I was sharing the bathroom. Luckily my stay was a matter of hours. Ciampino airport does not seem to have decent hotels close by. The taxi to the airport charged 25€ for a ride of less than 3 kilometres. Would advise lone female travellers not to book this accommodation.

I had the mansarda room which came with its own bathroom and little terrace, as well as the use of the excellently equipped kitchen. Fabrizio was so kind, he provided very detailed check-in instructions, stayed in touch throughout my stay, and made sure there was food in the kitchen.

The location is not ideal, but it’s not the fault of the host that Ciampino is not easy to reach early in the morning.
