Maggie's Inn

Everything in the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom is very well designed and equipped with everything you will need. Great location, with a nice balcony overlooking the trees and the water.

Maggie's Inn was a very walkable location to downtown, a beach and restaurants which is what we were looking for. It was very clean and having the option to book a taxi from the airport through the booking was a big bonus. He also had options for transportation to local attractions that you could book through the property owner - who owns a taxi company. Also when our travel plans changed a bit Christopher was very accommodating which we appreciated very much.

It was a little loud the first night because of the local election but otherwise it was a perfect stay.

I think I would invite anyone visiting saint lucia to spend 3 days in soufriere - to check out all of the local attractions and location wise, staying with Chris allows you to do that with the flexibility to easily avoid the crowds. And it was a great spot. Chris was an awesome host, great comms and advice. And I really like how he supports other local business people - including Joan that will bring breakfast straight to your door. Maggies Inn has all the amenities you need and wish I'd rented a car from Chris as well, rather than one of the major providers. Maggie is Chris's mum and her accomodation namesake definitely has that family feel.

Very clean and comfortable and immersed in the city center for a truly local experience

We stayed at Maggie's Inn for 7 nights and everything was perfect. We were met at the location by the host Christopher. He actually runs a taxi company from below and organised the taxi from the airport for us and that went really well. The driver was waiting for us on arrival and the cost was very competitive. Christopher showed us around the apartment and left plenty of information on trips and where to get food etc. You have a great view of Petit Piton and seaviews from the apartment. It's only a 5 minute walk maximum to the local beach. We used his taxi service on various occasions and also Christopher organised a boat trip for us. Each time everything was spot on. He's a very pleasant chap and nothing is too much trouble. I would definitely stay there again.

-there are two balconies (one for smoking, one non smoking) both over an amazing view. - even though the room is quite tiny it provides everything you need and is great designed that you still have enough space. - everything is super clean - Christopher ist really helpful - he can get you a drivers permit if you want to rent a car (side note: if you have an international driver license, you can go to the post office and get one for free)

- the prices he offers for car rental / driver / airport transfer are on the higher end, I would recommend to book it somewhere else if you have to budget. - we had some minor communication issues (nothing of them are worth reducing points) for example he told us that the shop to get SIM cards are already closed even though the shop was still open.

I loved my stay here. The owner, Christopher, has put in a lot of thought to organising the room which has plenty of clothes storage, a very well equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave, large fridge and all the utensils you need. It is a lovely cheerful green colour and has a large comfortable bed. The separate bathroom has a great shower. There are table and chairs, TV and sliding doors to a covered balcony and nice view of the local area with the sea and piton in the background - a lovely place to sit. Christopher lives downstairs and is discrete but very helpful. He even brought me fresh bread and bananas for breakfast! He runs a taxi company and can arrange trips for you. If you like to stay somewhere which is not touristy and feels like you are in a real community - this is for you. It is on a quiet street in a residential area with a school nearby, a grocery shop and bakery a couple of minutes walk away and maximum 10 minute walk to the beach. A larger supermarket and the town centre are within a 15 minute walk. I was travelling alone and felt very safe, locals greeted me in the street and on the beach but I was never hassled at all. There is a lot to do here if you like the outdoors. The beach is sandy with clear sea and a couple of good places to eat and drink. There is a small diving centre which seemed very well and safely run, the diving was lovely - lot of different fish and several turtles. There are walks in the area, including to the top of the piton with great views, waterfalls to visit, sulphur and mineral springs and botanical gardens all nearby. I spent a day at the Hotel Chocolat Estate which was very interesting and a real treat. My visit was in late May so there was quite a bit of rain but generally in short heavy bursts which I enjoyed especially from the room's balcony and didn't interfere with my beach trips. Overall, a lovely place to visit and excellent place to stay. I hope to return next year. Thank you Christopher!

Maggie's Inn was the ideal place to stay in Soufrière. Right in the town, waterfront, groceries, restaurants and some activities were within easy walking distance, and although we didn’t have a car for going to beaches and other excursions, it wasn’t an issue. Christopher, the owner/host who lives downstairs was amazing - and also runs a taxi service and made sure we always had a ride when needed. The apartment itself was spotless and fully equipped, with a well-stocked kitchen and thoughtful touches throughout. We especially loved the private terrace with views over the town - a great place to have breakfast . The bed was super comfortable, and the shower was the best we had on our whole trip of multiple accommodations over almost 4 weeks. We only stayed three nights but could easily have for a couple weeks!

The property was very clean, at a good location and with an amazing view to the Gros Piton. The room is fully equipped with everything you need for your stay. Our host Christopher was very helpful, he owns also a taxi company and was driving us around. Renting a car there is a bit tricky due to the very tiny and steep roads, so using a taxi was the best option for us although a bit restrictive where you want to go. Communication with Christopher was really easy and he was very responsive and accommodating with our requests. He welcomed us with cold beers in the fridge and made us feel like home.

Like a little home from home. This place was honestly great; from all the amenities provided , to the location and not forgetting the staff. Clyde looked after me throughout my stay and I couldn't have been taken care of more. You can also order breakfast from one of the women in the town (Joan), which was the cherry on top with the amazing view. Would definitely look to come back and highly recommend to anyone visiting.
