Overall, we were happy with your stay here. The highlights were defiantly the location being right on the beginner slope, ski in, ski out. The Onsen in the lodge was awesome and saved having to leave after a long day. The rooms were large and had a good view. There were a few decent restaurants a brief walk from the lodge. The slopes here were excellent for a beginner.

Now for the disadvantages. They will pick you up from the train station, but do not offer a shuttle to town, and getting a taxi is quite difficult so unless catching the bus you can be stuck in the village. Staff were helpful in some parts but others less so. Check in was a mess, we had 4 separate bookings all for different rooms and pricing. They just gave us the keys together and told us to figure it all out which was confusing instead of giving each group the key they had paid for. We also had a really bad experience at the onsite restaurant. The service was the worst we have had in Japan, and most confusing despite us and the server both being native English speakers. Drinks took more than 15 mins for just a tap beer, mains came out before Entrees and even beers, an Entree was missed from the order and 2 members of our group got no food at all. There was one waitress for 4 tables, but she made a massive mess of everything. The food was expensive and pretty average so after this mess we decided to not eat here again. That isn't a big deal since there are many places around with much better food, cheaper, and much better service. There were also very few toilets, I think 2 per gender for the entire place so getting into the toilet at times could take a long time and was frustrating. Despite these few service issues, we were happy with the stay and would consider staying here again and if you want a good ski in, ski out place I would recommend going here.

Ski in n out, staffs are nice, bed is comfy room is clean and cosy.

Quite disappointed with this accommodation as it’s more of a hostel than a hotel, which was not what we were expecting for a relaxing ski trip to end our Japanese holiday. Communication and Location: Several weeks before our arrival, the accommodation provided detailed information about shuttle buses and gear rentals. However, the suggested gear shop was quite pricey and not recommended—there are much better and more affordable options near the ski lifts. Regarding their pickup service, it’s only available between 3 PM to 7 PM, and drop-off is strictly before 9 AM on checkout day, leaving no flexibility. The worst part was finding the place. We arrived at 7:30 PM, and the address provided by Booking.com was completely incorrect, leading us to a dangerous and narrow road 5 km away and spent a hour driving around and around. Navigating snowy, dark roads at night with no clear signage or anything was nerve-wracking, and even the local gear shop staff struggled to locate it in the morning. To make matters worse, the road has identical addresses, so GPS isn’t reliable. Make sure you either get the staff to drive a map for you if you arrive at night. If we hadn’t rented a car, it would have been a nightmare to reach with suitcases—taxi drop-offs would be unimaginable in a winter. Facilities: The onsite onsen was unusable as people would lock the door and use it privately, even though it’s supposed to be shared. Showers were limited to one for males and one for females, shared among all guests, which was far from convenient. It’s not wheelchair friendly as multiple stairs from walking in from entrance to the room. All the room are on level 2 while shower is on level 1 in the corner. Good luck with carrying luggages. There’s no proper sitting or communal area, just a small restaurant with very limited food options. Breakfast is included but disappointing—options are extremely basic, and it closes at 8:30 AM.

"Superb for skiing"

9.0

Great location! Ski in ski out , directly downslope to gondola of Tsugaike ski resort. Slopes are wide and less crowded compared to Happo. They have a ski storage and drying room in the basement. All staff are friendly and very helpful. We especially like to thank them for helping us to push our car when it got stuck in the thick snow. Thank you so much! Received a small Xmas gift hung at our door on Xmas day. Such a nice gesture. We got clean towels twice where we supposed to have only once of our 6 nights stay there.

Private toilet cold no heated wc , not as nice as those common shared ones. No tv. No seats for changing shoes to slippers at lobby which can be quite a hassle esp those with boots. Breakfast & dinner wasn’t really great.
