Victoria Hotel by Chef & Brewer Collection

Super deluxe room was great, the bed was really cozy looking out over the river. The breakfast and dinner was really tasty too, not your typical 'pub food'. Plenty people and atmosphere on the weekend with plenty of smiles.

The bath water came out dirty at first, obviously had local water works recently, we didn't bother mentioning it as its not really their fault, just maybe run the taps before a booking perhaps? I simply run it clean then run a bath, just a natural problem, could happen anywhere.

The hotel is in a beautiful position, and the gardens are kept beautifully.

The food is lovely, however when you are working, you have to get up extra early to get breakfast as it is cooked individually and takes some time as a result. This is fine for holidays, but not for when you are working.

My husband damaged his ankle during the trip and therefore had terrible difficulties with the stairs. Reception staff immediately offered us even a better room one floor lower. Thanks!

Coffee machine with proper coffee would be really nice to have at breakfast. Payment for the machine made coffee is an unpleasant surprise to many coffee lovers.

Had to wait a long time in reception for a staff member to check in. Room was small, albeit clean and a lovely view. Continental breakfast was poor and only hot water in a flask jug available for tea. Had to wait on staff for checkout.

Supplies of breakfast item to be replenished for continental breakfast. Wasn’t much left when we got there. Tea could be served fresh using freshly boiled water.

Great place to stay. 2nd trip to this hotel and looking forward to next time.
