The king-sized bed was comfortable with very clean bedding/linen. There were lots of pillows. The hosts were very approachable and friendly and had made an information booklet, and gave us restaurant suggestions. It is within walking distance to Middle Beach and other places. The hosts included a small microwave, air fryer, kettle, 2 coffee pods and a pod machine, a kettle, instant coffee and tea bags, a 5 litre bottle of filtered rain water (which is what they drink), a bit of dish soap, TP, and even a couple of beach towels! - enough to get one started. The suite was nicely spacious for 2, and had a very small deck, table and 2 chairs for an outside breakfast. The couple even offered to let us use their outside space, although we would not have wanted to impose. Laundry facilities were also made available to us. The couple had also stocked the suite with a few games and books, and had a functional TV with Netflix, etc. Kenton-on-Sea is a lovely, friendly, seemingly safe village with all the benefits of 2 rivers, beaches, the sea, beautiful views, incredible birdlife and viewing and even more natural wonders.

The village water system is potable, but reportedly doesn't taste good, which we didn't find out until we arrived. -but our hosts supplied us with 5 litres of filtered rain water to start, which was lovely. The suite is not completely an independent structure. The hosts' laundry area backs onto the bedroom window, as the suite appears to have been developed from a former third garage - but it is still spacious for 2 people. The deck is small and closely fenced, so you can hear birds on the property, but you cannot usually see them . On our last morning there, however, a beautiful wood hoopoe spent a lot of time searching the fencing for food - which provided for some great photos and much entertainment. The flooring is cement, but this makes it easier to rid oneself of the bit of sand that seems to make it in no matter what you do. The parking area is at a slant, which may prove challenging for people with significant mobility issues. There is a slight musty odour in the suite, but I expect that this is unavoidable in such a warm, humid climate. No air-conditioner, just FYI.
