The Coo Shed

Breakfast was what we needed. Cereal and toast. No cooked breakfast as really self catering. Balfron is a small place but we were out most days so only needed sandwiches and there were a couple of small supermarkets so no problems.

There were no problems so no dislikes.

Clean towels every day. Modern shower.

The double sized mattress was very uncomfortable and the room was considerably smaller than expected.

Continental breakfast provided was very tasty. The yogurt was delicious, and just the right selection of jams made my tea and toast a great start to the day! The bed was super comfortable and we loved the outdoor table and chairs for soaking up some sun over breakfast. Shower pressure and temperature were spot-on! The place IS tiny but it's just so cozy and everything is functional and compact, we even had charging stations beside BOTH sides of the bed, and LOVED the whole experience.

The only, very minor, thing to note is that the wifi was intermittent and slow, but you're here for the scenery and experiences right? It was good enough for Facebook and Insta anyway....

My second stay here, but this time with my partner too. We both loved the Coo Shed and, as the first stay, would 100% recommend. Thank you to Bruce for being such a great host.

Exactly as shown on the website photos, but it if anything it felt bigger! It had everything I needed for a couple of nights stay. Very comfortable and thoughtfully decorated, I particularly liked the leaf glass sink bowl. Bruce was a very friendly and welcoming host. I would 100% recommend and stay here again without hesitation.

If I was being very picky, it’s perfect for a long weekend, but personally I’d like somewhere with more windows if I was staying somewhere for longer - but as the name suggests, it is a stable!

Appealing entry at the outset, Bruce was very friendly and helpful. Garden available with beautiful seating area. Facilities perfect for a relaxing stay and self-serve breakfast. Quiet retreat with shops and bars if required.
