LISBON STORYTELLERS - Terrace by the River

It is a very comfortable apartment with two separate bedrooms, a living room, a well-equipped kitchen and a hallway. Nice veranda from where you can see the port and the cruise ships that are moored. We didn't use it much as we were in Lisbon at the end of November, but we could enjoy the view from the window. The apartment is not actually in the historic center but it is very close to the train station and the metro. There are also bus stops outside the train station. You can go anywhere from there. There is also a big supermarket inside the train station. What is more, one thing we appreciated is the elevator, although it's very small. It barely fits one person with a small suitcase, but there are two of them, so my friend and I went in separately! As Lisbon is a tiring city, we wouldn't like having to climb stairs coming back tired.

Among the issues that should be fixed I would put: 1) There was a bad smell which I assume was coming from the toilet drains. Although we used some detergents we found we were unable to combat the smell. I don't know if the owner can do something about it. I have encountered this problem in other destinations as well and especially in old buildings. 2) The apartment appeared to have been renovated and the owner tried to add outlets but some of them were already rickety, especially in the small bedroom. 3) The hair dryer that was available blew only cold air. 4) There are two air conditioners, one in the living room and one in the master bedroom. The second bedroom does not have one, so in the winter this room is not heated. I, who was sleeping in it, felt that I would like to have some heating, at least for the humidity. 5) Although the photos show curtains on the bedroom windows, in fact there were none. Fortunately, there were shutters, but they didn't close very well. I mention these problems because I believe that with a few fixes the apartment could receive a higher rating
