"Extremely disappointing experience and by far one of the worst hotel stays I have had."

The spa

After driving four hours from Italy, I arrived at the hotel and was told there were no rooms available. However, while standing at reception, I booked a room through Booking.com and suddenly a room became available. This left me feeling that I had been deliberately misled. The first room assigned to us had a non-functioning air-conditioning system during warm weather. What makes this even more unacceptable is that hotel staff were already aware of the malfunction before assigning us the room. Despite knowing that the air conditioning was not working, they still placed us in the room and only moved us after we complained. We were then moved to a second room, which was smaller than the room we had booked and paid for. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in the second room also worked poorly. In addition, the second room did not have a refrigerator, which created further inconvenience and directly contributed to the problems that followed. The most frustrating part of the stay was what happened to our food. We had purchased more than €80 worth of food and produce in Italy. When we were moved to the second room, the receptionist specifically told us that we could leave our belongings in the first room and collect them next day. Following this instruction, we left our food in the refrigerator. The next morning, we discovered that hotel staff had removed the food from the refrigerator and left it unrefrigerated, causing it to spoil. As a result, we lost more than €80 worth of food due entirely to the hotel's actions. Customer service throughout the stay was poor. During breakfast, we were even told that we should be "lucky" to receive breakfast because there were already many guests. Such comments are completely inappropriate and not what one would expect from a four-star hotel. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.
