PTThe host was very responsive, the place was very big and it is exactly near the Civitavecchia port, and there is a Conad in front of the apartment, really great, love it The host was simply amazing by sending us videos to explain the access to the apartment def worth coming back
USCommunicative host
We stayed here for one night and overall, it was just okay. The check-in process was smooth and the host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay, which we appreciated. That said, there are a few things to be aware of. The location isn’t ideal—it’s right next to a gas station and a bit removed from the main area with restaurants and bars. Just a couple of blocks over, the neighborhood feels noticeably nicer. The biggest issue was the water situation. At night, the water is turned off, which we were informed of at check-in. If you’re staying on the second floor and need to wash your hands or use the bathroom, you have to go downstairs to turn on a switch, use the water, and then turn it off again—or risk having no water in the morning. It’s inconvenient, especially if you’re sharing the space with others. There are two bathrooms, but only one has a shower, so everyone ends up sharing the first-floor bathroom for bathing. Another disappointment was the ride the host arranged for us to the port the next morning. We were charged 40 euros for four people for what turned out to be a 3-minute drive. To make it worse, the drop-off point wasn’t even at the check-in station, just a shuttle stop—whereas our other family members took a regular taxi for 30 euros that brought them directly to the right location. We definitely felt overcharged. While the host was kind and communicative, I wouldn’t recommend staying here due to the inconvenient location, the water setup, and the overpriced transportation arrangement.
USTruly, nothing stood out as special at all. The host was kind enough to drive us to the shore so we could get to our cruise ship since she mentioned it was difficult to get a cab. She wanted to make up for the most inconvenient way we had to stand around in the open-to-air dirty hallway of the apartment.
The apartment complex is very rundown. I was actually shocked by the neighboring trashy looking dirt and barren grassy area next to a car repair shop. There were dogs barking all night. Our host lost the use of her phone connection and we were left waiting in a hot hallway waiting to hear from the host. We finally called Booking.com to see if we could cancel and find other accommodations as we were from having flown for 12 hours. There was no mention about the water situation and not having water during the late evening and early morning hours. The extremely narrow steps to the loft are not safe to carry large luggage bags. The loft is very, very warm and uncomfortable to sleep in. The towels were musty smelling, thus we did go out to buy our own towels and washcloths. There was also a bag of rotten food in the refrigerator. Basically, this was definitely a luxury apartment.
USThe location is perfect. There's a supermarket right across the street and shops and restaurants are nearby. The apartment is lovely and comfortable. Lucrezia was wonderful! She left treats for us on the table & made 2 trips to take us to the cruise port because there are no local taxis. She said the hosts always arrange for transportation which makes it stress free.
NLNice spacious and comfortable apartment
GBGorgeous flat that felt like you own, very tasteful. Huge supermarket across the road but not any other appealing things in the vicinity
It’s on the fist floor of an apartment block next to a busy road quite far from the centre. There’s no view and you can’t really get any outside feeling.
ZADID NOT HAVE BREAKFAST
THE STAIRS
ZAVery well appointed & maintained
Nothing
GBLucrezia the property manager was so helpful & prompt to reply. We liked the location as it was quiet & a supermarket over the road.
USThere weren’t any instructions on how to operate the coffee machine so I couldn’t figure it out. But the breakfast bar was very nice. The milk didn’t look right so I’m unsure if it was spoiled or not, and didn’t drink it. The host was so helpful and very friendly. She tried to make our transportation easier and was available to answer any question via WhatsApp and through the website.
The only downfall was there were 15 steps and no elevator. We had lots of luggage since we were traveling through Europe and it was quite difficult for two ladies and had to get help.
