The apartment is located in a great spot, close to the train station, Piazza Maggiore and has a supermarket nearby. This basically allows to sightsee Bologna on foot and to have a great connection to other towns in Emilia-Romagna by train.

The apartment had a very intense smell of cigarettes once we arrived (despite being a non-smoking suit) which was evidently not taken care of properly by the cleaning service after the previous guest. Even after venting, the unpleasent smell persisted in the bathroom (probably not due to cigarettes but old piping). The service also left an additional pair of keys in the vestible connected to the apartment (and accessible to anyone) without telling us which basically allow anyone to enter our apartment for a day (until we spotted that additional pair and took it inside). The apartment is located on the 4th floor and while there is an elevator, it is old and sometimes gets stuck on a particular floor so using the stairs was necessary. All in all, definitely not the standard we expected.

Unfortunately there were many problems. The shower head was broken and wouldn't stay up. You had to hold it the entire time. Part of the shower door was missing causing water to splash all over the floor. The shower drain was so slow you would be standing in 2 inches of water the whole time. The kitchen didn't have enough utensils. The stove top was broken. There were only 3 chairs at the table and one was so loose we couldn't use it. Very unhappy with the rental.

The location

They didn't renovate before renting this place, but rather adding unsafe power sockets out of the walls and even touching cheap and clumpsy kitchen devices. Shower was missing and despite communicating that both to the person opening the apartment (who ignored me and still has NOT dared to reply) and the hosting company, it wasn't either repaired and I was given nothing but a text saying "we're sorry". Overpriced

Excellent location, a few minutes walk in one direction takes you to the bus and train stations. The other direction is the shopping and historical centre

The apartment didn't have a sofa or armchair so when I got in after a long day walking everywhere I had no choice but to get into bed. There was a dining table and chairs, but who wants to spend the evening on a hard dining chair?

The location - this area is NOT nice, I don't know what I was thinking booking a place close to the train station. Also feels far away, doesn't look to bad on the map but if your on the other end of time its a bit far. I don't know if it was a faulty setting but this came up when I looked for places with at least one bedroom - it is only onte big room which was really inconvenient travelling with two teenage girls who wanted to stay up when I wandted to sleep and who wanted to sleep when i wanted to get up. only one set of keyr- inconvenient sofa bed not very comfortable

Central location. Good for studying Italian in Bologna.
