The Kings Head Inn

The bed was really comfortable I would go back again just for the mattress The room was really nicely decorated and clean The building is really nice and has a lot of character; I really appreciate that the decor is in keeping with the building and they havent tried to make it look all modern; if you want modern go to a Premier Inn There was a cooked breakfast included in the price There is a car park at the back of the building The staff were polite and helpful even though they were very busy we were asked to pre order breakfast the night before by choosing what we wanted and what time we wanted it I know some people dont like doing this but I appreciate it as I can have plenty of time to choose the evening before what I want; however they still gave me the wrong egg but not a deal breaker of an issue

We booked a double room with a bath but got allocated a twin room with a shower; not quite sure how this happened The room we were given was right next to the toilets so we could hear people using the toilet and every time the hand dryer went on and off There was loud dance music playing until quite late after the band had finished but if you stay in a pub on a Saturday night you have to expect this so not a criticism just a warning to anyone who likes it quiet The TV updated itself in the early hours causing a very bright flashing light in the room for several minutes which could be traumatic to any alien abductees out there The breakfast had hot water in a flask for tea rather than tea and coffee made freshly The sausages were anaemic looking (nobody likes a sloppy pale sausage) I ordered scrambled egg but got a fried egg

Only stayed one nice. All in order, and a great breakfast.

Nice room, decent breakfast in characterful building.

Live music until after 11pm then loud bar guests until after midnight.

Because we had our dog we were put in disability room , which was handy , but we did not like the en suite . Could also be noisy being on ground floor could here movement up above - very creaky .

The room was very spacious with a large bed and en-suite bathroom with a bath. Very clean. The bar / restaurant are was pleasant. Car parking and central location were ideal.

Some of the windows needed a lick of paint. Little bit dark in the corridors.

Schoon en netjes, pub sfeer, gastvrij personeel, goed ontbijt, gratis parkeren en op donderdag steak een heerlijke en leuk geprijsde steak night

Spacious comfortable room, nice bathroom and comfortable bed. Secluded secure car park at the back. Good value as the room price includes a cooked breakfast. The bar in the evening was very lively with loud live music and dancing. This may not suit everyone.

The dinner menu had limited variety, it was mostly meat or fried food. No real healthy options. But if like burgers, steak or Fish and chips it was fine.
