Clary Home Cefalu'

Kedves, segítőkész házigazdának ismertük meg Vincenzot, aki mindenben segítségünkre volt. A szálláshely jól felszerelt, tiszta és nagyon jó elhelyezkedésű. Előnye még, hogy nem kell lépcsőzni, mert földszinten van. Reméljük, hogy visszatérünk még!

Perfect location between the beaches and the city of Cefalù. The owner is the most kind and generous, took us for a tour when he pick us up and told us the best places to eat at. Definitely recommend staying here!

Nothing!

This was an incredible location just steps from the beach in one direction and steps from the Duomo in the other. The host was so friendly and offered us a ride from the train station and gave so many great tips for the area. One of their dinner reccs ended up being one of our favorite meals from our entire tour around Sicily!

The street is very noisy as night which is a bit of a nuisance when you're an exhausted tourist! It's what you get for being right in the middle of the action though ;)

It was so Central to everything. It had everything I needed. It was close to the train station close to all the restaurants right out your door literally. So close to the beach.

Can’t think of anything I didn’t like about the Property.

Actually this place is way nicer and cozier than what I thought. In the heart of the old City of Cefalu. The location is a gem, but we also had a really good sleep in our bed. The big plus is the host, he took such good care of us, offered a ride from the train station and checked often whether we were okay. One day I told him that the TV is not working. He came all the way from Palermo to place a smart tv device and brought some delicious pastries with him. I wish you all the best Vincenzo Oliveri:)

An oven and washing machine could be a little plus.

Very noisy and very Humid with no windows

Great host and great location. Vincenzo did everything to make our stay perfect. He is super-host. Waited for our delayed flight in the airport and even bought us the food on our arrival, it was already quite late. When we told that there were very loud construction works opposite our apartment early in the morning, which disturbed, he talked to the workers and arranged that they don't do such loud works early in the morning. And location of apartment is great - 5 minutes to walk to the beach and 5 minutes to walk to the gorgeous old town. Apartment is well equipped with everything necessary. Restaurants and shops are also close, and the food is delicious. Pizza with melanzani and row red prawns are a must. Next door to apartment there is a great bar with great staff members and very creative design. The see is very clean and sunsets are beautiful.

The beach was overcrowded, but it is normal in July-August. The apartment is on the ground floor, and it is good and convenient. But it has also disadvantage - the window on the door is not soundproof, and the loud traffic starts early in the morning. Perhaps it's a problem only for us, but we got used to sleep and to wake up in silence, and it was unusual to be awakened by loud traffic and loud speaking people at 7-8 am on vacations.

Amazing location and super friendly host!

I was visiting with family of 2+2 (kids under 5). The best thing about this apartament is its location. Very close to the beautiful and clean beach (3-5min walking) and its practically in the historic city center. Practically next to it there's a place where you can buy slice of pizza or other similar take away food. 5min walking there's nice bakery, though a bit expensive. Apartment felt clean and cosy - we all felt good in it. It had almost everything we needed. I appreciated TV with kids channels - very helpful after long day of sightseeing and playing in the beach :) In the evening it got cold a bit (beginning of April) but AC did its job with heating function. Apartment doesn't have windows except for glass doors but this should be considered as plus, especially on hot days. Final advantage for families with small kids - there are no stairs - this place is on the ground floor.

Below a few things which could be better or something to consider before you book. Some of them are not in control of the apartment's owner: - on some days it was difficult to find free parking slot. Usually we needed to walk around 15min to get to car what with kids is not perfect. On weekend there were so many people visiting the city that it was challenging to find even paid parking with free slots. On our first day our host helped us find parking lot and showed some possibilities; - there's one big grocery shop (at least I'm aware of) but its relatively expensive; - At some nights it was noisy in the streets and it was felt in the apartment. Not too bad though and you can expect it when booking in such a central location; - It would be great if there was washing machine inside, especially when people are staying for longer period of time; - I wish our host spoke a bit better English - it would be easier to get more interesting recommendation from him or listen to local stories; - this apartment is perfect in my opinion for a few days stay with the focus on Cefalu and nearby towns/beaches. Cefalu as a base for sightseeing either eastern or western Sicily is not so great as it's usually around 2 hours of driving to different attractions; - I didn't notice it in pictures - there's no doors/wall separating bedroom and living room. With kids it would be better to have a room which you can close when they fall to sleep.
