The room was very clean, and that’s about it.

If you are a senior citizen, or a traveler who is accustomed to receiving information about places to eat or places of entertainment in the area, this hotel is not the place for you. If you are a person who is accustomed to navigating a new area of the world without help, perhaps this is the hotel for you. The advertisement said there was no parking at the hotel, but there was parking nearby. I assumed nearby meant across the street or around the corner. Not at all. Parking was four blocks away in a parking building. A significant distance for a senior citizen with luggage. When I ask the staff for a restaurant in the area I was told to look in my phone. They provided no information on the type of cuisine available in restaurants in the area, and there were no physical restaurant menus at the front desk. I’m not accustom to this lack of service and information. Here I was in a strange location and the answer to all of my inquiries was to “look in your phone.” After 9:00 PM there is no one stationed at the front desk. If you need some assistance or information you have to call a number posted at the front desk. The only answer I got to my questions was to “look in your phone.” I don’t know if I was treated this way for some reason or it is their regular practice. It was not the type of experience that makes me feel like a valued customer and not something I want to experience again. I’m an active senior citizen who doesn’t use a cane or a walker and is slim and able to run. So I’m not helpless. Still, carrying luggage for four blocks was not my desired workout routine. However, there is a train station about a block from the hotel. If you arrive by train and don’t need to rent a car, the parking situation won’t be a problem. But I’m a well traveled person who spends months at a time in foreign countries and this lack of customer service and inattentiveness was shocking to me.

loved the price for what we were given in the room, staff was very kind to us checking in.

the room smelled like weed so bad and the room was freezing. they left the window wide open in a snow storm. took us forever to get the room to a comfortable level without our feet and fingers feeling numb. to top that off, the shower was absolutely frigid. zero warm water. i also wasn’t given conditioner. i would’ve expected for a hotel room that nice to at least be at a comfortable temperature. we also couldn’t cook anything despite the room having a full kitchen due to lack of cookies supplies. didn’t like the fact the rooms were accessed by a code, didn’t make me feel entirely safe if the code ended up in the wrong hands anyone could access our room and our belongings.

Only good thing about this hotel is the location. Right in front of the India Street and nearby Journal Square PATH station.

Unhygienic - we stayed for 7 days and they did not provide room cleaning for once. They did not bother to change the towels for a single time. Behavior of the cleaning guys along with the reception folks was very rude. the blind of the window of our room was broken. We requested to change that multiple times but they did nothing. We were very disappointed with the whole experience. I believe its not at all worth of $180 per night.
