The views of the ocean (from all villas) and afterglow of the sunset are just sublime

Food was decent, especially for an underdeveloped island. Staff were very helpful and allowed us to order off the menu, and also from their sister hotel so staying a week food was decent

Overall fantastic. We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa with private pool. Very comfy beds, nice bathroom, good common areas, a comfy hammock, a pool that's not just plunge pool but you can actually swim shorts laps in it. Beautiful ocean vide, dramatic sunsets, good food at the different restaurants. Staff are very friendly and communication via WhatsApp easy.

Bit room for improvement: At arrival, there should be (via QR) a hotel overview/explanation. As they have several properties and restaurants in the area, at the beginning it's a bit confusing what's where and how it's related. The hotel offers a shuttle transfer from the villa to the different restaurants. From the villa it is actually possible to walk to Sapphire restaurant within a few minutes but the footpath below can be slippery and muddy after rain. I feel a little investment on small stairs and footpath (similar to the one leading down to beach from Sapphire Restaurant) would be worth it, so guests don't have to use shuttle (impact on environment!) all the time. At the beach, the "entrance" to the footpath up to Sapphire Restaurant could use a sign. Sometimes it's a bit hard to find between all the drift wood (and unfortunately quite a bit of trash). The mini bar of the villa is stocked with Bintang and SanMig. Not the greatest beers. However, Indonesian craft beers (e.g., Black Sand Brewery) are available at the restaurants (Sapphire and Kirana) of the property but need to be ordered separately if you want to enjoy them in the villa by the pool. Why not just include those craft beers in the mini bar as well?

We never write negative reviews, but this experience was so shocking that we feel a responsibility to warn other travelers. The location itself is beautiful, and the local staff are clearly trying their best with what they have. Unfortunately, the problem here is very clearly the ownership, who seem completely uninterested in maintaining even basic standards for guests or supporting their own staff. During our stay we experienced multiple serious issues that made the accommodation extremely uncomfortable and at times unsafe. There were repeated periods without running water and no hot water at all, which meant basic things like showering or even using the toilet were sometimes impossible. Hygiene was also a major concern. From bathroom, towels and personal items constantly covered in ants, to the overall cleanliness of the facilities. It was far below what you would reasonably expect from a place charging these prices. What was most disappointing, however, was the complete lack of responsibility from the owners. Instead of taking accountability, the problems were repeatedly ignored or brushed aside. It became very clear to us that the staff on site were left to deal with unhappy guests while management simply did not step in to solve the underlying issues. Eventually the situation became so unacceptable that we had no choice but to leave early. Traveling often means accepting that small things can go wrong, but the level of neglect here goes far beyond that. A place can have an amazing location and beautiful concept, but without responsible management that actually cares about guests and supports its staff, it simply does not work. We sincerely hope the owners take these issues seriously in the future, because in its current state we unfortunately cannot recommend staying here.

View was beautiful and great for surfers easy access to beach

Food wasn’t the best and also very expensive. They need more staff service was quite poor and very slow

The beachfront bungalow was by far the best room I’ve ever stayed in the view here is breathtaking all day surf right in front just don’t feed the monkeys

The monkeys were a little scary and they came and tried to get into everything
