Tranquility Short & Long stays

Property was in a good location and not a far walk to Eastbourne town and seafront. There was also a lot of parking out front available. The room itself was very clean, spacious and had everything you needed for a short stay. Especially useful having all the space when you are travelling a with a pet who also enjoyed the stay. There was a large shared garden out back which was very convenient if your dog is like mine and has to go to the toilet in the early hours. It was easy enough to let him off in the back yard to do his business.

Upon arrival the maintenance / housekeeping were still cleaning the room. I did not have to wait long, 15 minutes perhaps, but there should be ample time to get the room cleaned and be able to check in straight away after a long drive. Can be slightly frustrating after a long drive to the have to wait. I was not the biggest fan of the mattress. We do a lot of walking / hiking on these types of breaks so trying to get a good nights rest is important but I did find it hard to do so. The mattress was quite thin and on one side of the bed it dips quite a lot so I actually had to top and tail with my partner. The back door was broken as well. You were still able to open it and lock it but it required some effort to do so. The bottom latch of the door does not actually reach the door frame so there is a draft coming in and leaves you with less sense of security given the door is not fully operating. The only other point is that the neighbours over the back seem to have a dog that barked for long periods during the night. No fault of the host of course but if you are a light sleeper this can be challenging.
