Canvas Tent Near The Agean Sea

The location is excellent. Right onto the beach. Friendly couple. Discount at nearby restaurant with extremely friendly staff. Bed was comfortable. Good communication from host and availability to contact. Good availability of plugs.

Difficult to find in the dark on the transfer, which was slightly stressful. No tent available so stayed in the cabin instead. Not super clean or plush but was perfect for sleeping and getting ready/washing in. Shower room was not the most clean.

We slept well, the airbed was comfortable and did not deflate and the electric fan inside the tent and the sea breeze cooled the tent and us enough to sleep comfortably. There are 2 tents with some privacy screen between them. The toilet is clean. In addition, there are 3 cabins which must be advertised separately.

Finding the entrance to the site was difficult. We received GPS coordinates but additional driving instructions were required when we couldn’t access the site. There was no signage on the property’s gate. Maybe we are getting too old for camping. There is a little shade between the tent and the wire fence facing the beach but that is all. Each of the cabins has a veranda to provide shade in the afternoon but there is no built structure to provide shade for people renting the tents. There area is otherwise in full sun and this made the whole space very unwelcoming. In the heat of high summer, the only escape from the sun was the restaurant 100 meters away. There is the beach of course. We did not use the shower. Perhaps our experience would have been nicer if the daytime temperature was 5-10 degrees cooler. Of course, that is one thing the operators can’t control.
