B&B Charming House

Lives up to its name ‘Charming House’. Superior service provided by Host Fernando who met us upon arrival and gave us a personal tour. The property is very unique ‘it feels like a mini-castle’. Due to its high elevation above the Salerno ship-yard it gives a birds-eye view of the Salerno Bay, ship-loading facilities and the Salerno city. We enjoyed the great big terrace and were entertained at times by all the port activities down below. You would think that due to the property’s position next to a busy highway it would be really noisy, but it wasn’t at all. We found the property was well insulated. Our host provided many added items (basic foods and drinks) for us to feel welcome and at home. At the time of our stay we were the only guests present, but there are two private living quarters with private bathrooms. Only the kitchen and living are would be shareable in case of multiple guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The room was good with a nice view and access to balcony. Good deal for the price.

The place is far from salerno center and buses are not that frequent. So you might have to book private transport. Plus it says breakfast but its just juice & packed bread

We arrived late and jet lagged and our wonderful host met us outside to help us park and get our bags in!!! The property is wonderful with a huge terrace overlooking the port! Perfect place to stay to start the Amalfi Coast drive!

Good-sized room with well-stocked private bathroom facilities. Has a balcony overlooking the coastal view. Free street parking (on the pavement at the side of the property) available. 15-20 min walk to a small town. Hosts are very helpful.

Right next to a busy main road, so might miss the parking spot the first time and takes a while to u-turn, and also can be noisy.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfy. The view from terrace was nice - especially at night. Even though the place wasn't in the city centre, it wasn't too far. Lovely place.

Fernando was a great host, we helped ourselves to breakfast in the mornings, everything was there for us to have. There was beer, wine and prosseco in the fridge which was operated on a honesty basis as you would write everything down that you had and pay at the end of your stay. Our room led out on to the terrace which overlooked the port. The room was clean and comfortable. Anything you wanted to know Fernando was always on hand. Would definitely recommend this great little place to anyone.

Great location close to Vietri sul Mare with great restaurants and beautiful ceramics. The shared apartment has a fabulous deck overlooking the port and the Mediterranean coast. The host is friendly and approachable with great advice for the local attractions and how best to explore.

the only drawback is the busy road noise - but good windows and doors prevent this from being an issue.

Good facilities and a good range of stuff for breakfast which guests prepare for themselves. Location relatively close to the old town.Very helpful and obliging owner.

the views were incredible the deck overlooked the sea to enjoy meals or just relax breakfast great variety coffee tea milk juices cheese ham croissants the hospitality was over the top very clean and inviting felt like the queen of this magnificent castle within easy walks to the town of ceramics and fish restaurants
