Days Inn by Wyndham Alta Vista

The lights in our room did not work. No healthy selections for breakfast - fruit was lacking. No nondairy milk options. Gym was extremely basic and the water bubbler was empty.

It was close to the venue

Poor customer service, household air freshener plugged into the wall and so strong you could choke, hair in the breakfast staff tried to blame it on another guest, air conditioner went out, requests for towels or pillows were met with eye rolls, the mattress on the bed was lumpy and if I or my spouse moved the whole bed bounced.

It was clean, convenient off Hwy

Staff never said hello or welcome No explanation of anything Breakfast was minimal eggs gone no coffee we waited but then toaster not working or waffle maker I think there was an electrical issue the blower dryer shut off also but we got by. The staff needs to talk and be trained to speak with its clients

I was so super impressed with the cleanliness of the whole hotel. I was a little apprehensive because of the price, but I was wrong. From the ceilings to the baseboards, not a spot was even a little dusty. The room was spacious, with comfortable seating, and had a microwave and mini fridge as well. I thought the hotel would be noisy as it was sold out for graduation, but we didn't hear anyone. The staff was super friendly and welcoming as well. The breakfast was nice. It wasn't super big, but I wasn't expecting a huge spread; it was a nice continental breakfast. They had good coffee, hot choices, a make-your-own waffle station, yogurt, and oatmeal. The sitting area for breakfast was really nice, with the sun shining through the windows and many places to sit. The hotel was straightforward to get to: it was a little less than 30 minutes straight down Highway 29 from Lynchburg.

The showerhead needed to be replaced, and the toilet was loud when flushed. It's not a deal breaker, but I would have loved it if they had a pool.
