It was clean, comfortable, breakfast was nice, the owner is friendly and chatty and the location super central to the old town

Stayed here for one night and had a very dangerous experience. While I was taking a shower, the water heater suddenly caught fire – a large flame inside the bathroom. This is extremely unsafe, especially in a wet area. Afterward, I noticed that the electrical wiring was literally taped together with masking tape, which explains the incident. This is serious negligence and could have caused real harm. What made it worse was the owner’s response: he showed no concern, did not apologize, and even hung up the phone on me when I tried to explain what happened. I strongly do NOT recommend staying here. This place is not safe, and the management does not take responsibility.

The staff were super helpful and accommodating! That was my favourite part of my stay. The room was good and clean. It’s super close to the town center, which also made it an ideal place to stay. It was a quieter hostel when I was there, which I enjoyed and no noise when sleeping, if you’re looking for a lovely social place this may not be it for you.
