stingy smell in room
INWe had a short stay during our day trip to Alibag. It's 10 mins drive from Mandwa jetty and easy to find. Host was very welcoming. There is big space around with garden, swings and small swimming pool. Although rooms are small, its comfortable for 2 people stay. Nearest beach is Khihim beach (~25 mins drive).
INWe were there for a wedding so the location was very close to the venue which was convenient for us. The rooms are situated around a mango orchard with a lawn which offers perennial shade and natural cooling to most areas of the property. There is a small swimming pool, swing, cricket net and carom board for entertainment. The caretaker (babu bhai) is very helpful, makes an excellent cup of tea and cooks up a delicious poha & upma for breakfast. The manager (Mr. Gharat) is very prompt during booking, check-in/check-out and attending to any requests during the stay.
The "container room" that we were allocated did not have tree cover on 2 sides which made the afternoons highly uncomfortable (since the electric supply trips around noon and the provided fan which runs on inverter is not enough to flush out the heat). The "verandah" of the container room should have a small ceiling fan so that sitting outside can be more comfortable. The sink and bathroom drain were not cleaned before the room was allocated. There were cigarette butts in the bathroom drain. The main gate of the resort is locked around 9:30 - 10pm till 7am morning. So it would be best to keep the phone number of the caretaker & manager handy if one is out late. Some of the other guests used the free bluetooth speaker near the pool to play loud music throughout the day and late in the night. In my opinion this facility should be removed as more often than not people do not have civic sense.
