GAM BAY bungalow's

L'emplacement est vraiment fabuleux, lagon de faible profondeur, pas trop loin de WAISAI. Les excursions sont très sympas (lac des méduses, manta point, Piyanemo). Les bungalows sont très agréables et bien tenus. Le personnel est très très gentil et bien sérieux. Les repas sont servis à l'heure (7h, midi, 19h) et de l'eau de qualité toujours à disposition pour la boisson.

La douche commune n'était pas fonctionnelle. Ils sont d'ailleurs en train d'en réaménager pour que ce soit mieux. Comme beaucoup d'endroits dans les Raja Ampat il n'y a de l'électricité que de 18h à minuit et peu de réseau. La cuisine est très monotone mais bonne.

Un endroit hors du temps, paisible, et pas loin d’un certain nombre de points d’intérêt. Excursion à des prix raisonnables !

The property is situated in a little cove area, it’s beautiful above water but lacking anything under. The bungalow is very basic as well as the shower and toilet. The food I have to admit was delicious and the staff very helpful and friendly. We did the Gam Bay Special trip and swam with the jellyfish which is a much do while there. Great sunset viewing point and that’s the only place to receive some cell signal also. We took off a day early to be somewhere that had a house reef and a little better amenities. The staff was helpful in sorting us out a bigger boat to transfer 6 people at once.

If you’re looking to Snorkle from your bungalow, this isn’t the place for you. There’s much to be desired as for the toilets, little paint and upkeep would do wonders to the facilities. Electricity only available for 6 hours, from 6pm-midnight.

The location and the staff are amazing. the room is basic but great and with an amazing views. I highly recommend

El entorno es espectacular. El homestay es muy sencillo, una zona donde ver el atardecer y bonitas vistas. Le pongo un 6 por el entorno porque el homestay está bastante regulero!

Homestay sencillo, pero necesita mantenimiento y limpieza. Camas muy incómodas, baños muy sucios y comedor con ratas por el techo. Lo peor de todo fue que horas antes a nuestra llegada (después de dos días viajando para llegar) nos escribe el dueño diciendo que nos tiene que reubicar a otro homestay (el de su hermana, maricho homestay) por overbooking. Tras discutirlo, al final cedemos porque estamos muy cansadas del viaje y porque nos asegura que el otro lugar será igual. Llegamos y la habitación horrorosa, con agujeros en el techo, todo de cañas… volvemos a insistir y finalmente nos lleva a gam bay. Nuestra sorpresa es que cuando hablamos con el resto de huéspedes descubrimos que a todos les hace lo mismo, no solo ha ocurrido con nosotras. Tuvimos que quejarnos porque la comida era muy escasa y había gente que se quedaba sin poder comer o cenar. Tras la queja esto mejoró y la comida no estaba mal. Lo peor, los baños. Muy sucios, en dos ocasiones, mientras nos duchábamos dejo de salir agua, no cambiaron la basura en días (y el papel con los excrementos se tira en l misma), olor desagradable….
