Beds super comfy and the owners very friendly. Its a historic property so not everything can be as in a new location

We were on the street side and the traffic and noisy neighbors made for a long night. Nothing the property could do about though.

I believe shops and restaurants are a five minute drive away.

This is a lovely old, wood-framed building with some nice features. The staff were helpful when we needed to use the breakfast room to work and they kept bringing us tea. The breakfast isn't generous but it's adequate if you're not a big eater. Clean and simple. A no-frills place that's way better than staying in Cologne and only about 40 minutes from the Messe if you hit the road by 7.30 in the morning.

Very limited off-street parking. Also, the bathroom was quite small and not brilliantly planned. It was easy to bump the shower control and turn it to cold while showering and the loo was so close to the shower that a square foot is all you get to dry yourself in. Drying legs means almost sticking your head down the pot. I guess that's the compromise with an old building, though my colleague seemed to have more space in the annexe outside. An international phone call is needed if no one is in to answer the door when you first arrive!

Really convenient for stop over travelling south from uk. very short distance from autobahn. warm and nice breakfast.
