To visit Chicken Itza the best place to stay is Valladolid and a great place to stay in Valladolid is The Blue Eco Lodge. Englishman Harry and his lovely lady Adihel are calm but efficient hosts. Great breakfast, probably the best bed I’ve ever slept in, the garden is great, the pool is amazing and 2 mornings running I saw Toucans while in the luxurious shower. I could go on but quite simply I give it 11 out of 10.

Nothing, and don’t forget to take their lovely dog for a walk around the lovely village.

The place is gorgeous - surrounded by nature, it's quiet and peaceful. The room is spacious, clean and smells great. Shower pressure is VERY good. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. There's everything you might need: a water fountain in the corridor, coffee/tea in the room, chairs so you can sit and relax. Breakfast is awesome. The hosts are amazing (Harry is a gem!) Thanks again for hosting us!

It's not something I didn't like because I knew it but it's worth saying that you'll need a car to do anything (nowhere to eat around the place for example). A cab will take you to Valladoid for 130 pesos.

Enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and friendly hosts. The accommodations were clean and fresh. The shower had the perfect water pressure, in Mexico this is an important point! The bed, a king, was the exact firmness we sleep on at our personal home. The breakfast ordered to exact specifications, so very rare in Mexico. We love Mexico and this location has become one of our favorite places to stay.

We had a fabulous stay at The Blue, we would have loved to stay more! Everything was wonderful: The calm of the property in the middle of magnificent vegetation, the conviviality of the poolside bar where you can meet at the end of the day to chat with Harry and other travelers were amazing, the gorgeous breakfast in a beautiful environment, the very confortable rooms.

Kind, generous, friendly and incredibly accommodating couple who deserve 10* for every aspect of their accommodation and hospitality. We have 2 boys and Harry even let them tune into a spurs game. It takes quite a lot to please me, so well done to you both or creating stunning comfy rooms, with lovely showers, remembering all the tiny details and going above to help everyone.
