Convenient for the Loire and Cher and very centrally located. Small hotel with very welcoming and friendly staff. Good restaurant food and an excellent breakfast buffet.

The room was a little dated but not a problem, might be nice if the restaurant menu changed on the second night but the food was good for the price.

Good position and very helpful staff. Lovely shaded terrace for drinks etc or just to sit. We didn’t have breakfast but the food for dinner was amazing, well presented and delicious and definitely worth returning for - couldn’t fault it. Although we had issues with parking we really enjoyed our stay here.

We had requested parking but when we got there due to inconsiderate parking by others there was no space - parking spaces are limited. The very helpful receptionist asked someone to re park their car thereby making a space however someone else parked in it before we could move our car! We eventually, after several attempts, parked in a corner with our bonnet over the pavement. I would have preferred a proper bathroom with a door not a curtain across a section of the bedroom - not ideal when sharing a room.

It was pretty empty because out of season and the menu was very limited. We arrived before 5pm to find it locked up with no lights on and with all the fallen autumn leaves thought that it was probably closed down. However it did open at 5pm

There was a lot to like. Comfortable room, dinner under the trees with great menu and very sufficient breakfast inside. Proprietor and staff very welcoming. Our first visit in 45 years, and very glad that we came back!

Setting, friendliness of staff, room and food were all very good.
