Kandy Calm Residence

Mangalika our host was fantastic. She looked after us so well and made delicious meals. The room is very spacious with a balcony where we could sit to read & eat meals. The house is in a residential area within tuk tuk distance of Kandy centre & even closer the cricket ground. There’s a meditation centre close by which was fascinating to visit. The family sorted tickets for cricket matches & help us understand the railway ticket system. Amazing help!

Had dinner at Kandy Calm Residence, and it was a fantastic experience. A proper home-cooked Sri Lankan meal with warm hospitality. The place is cozy and inviting, and the hosts incredibly welcoming. They took the time to explain each dish, where the ingredients come from, and how everything is made. You can tell they truly care about what they do. The food was outstanding. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and made with care. Every dish had the perfect balance of spices and home-style cooking, making the meal unforgettable. What made the dinner even more special was the personal touch, with thoughtful presentation and warm conversations with the hosts. It was more than just a meal; it was a true taste of Sri Lankan hospitality. The accomodation is spacious, well appointed, clean and well presented. If you're looking for stay and authentic, home-cooked meal in a peaceful and welcoming setting, I highly recommend a stay at Kandy Calm Residence.

This is absolutely fantastic accommodation. The room is lovely with a view of pond but the real blessing is Mangelika with her husband who make you feel like you are the most special person in their universe. Do not hesitate to visit them, you will not want to stay anywhere else.

Our stay in Kandy Calm Residence was fantastic. The independent guest wing was ideal with everything we needed, relatively modern and private from the rest of the home. Mangalika was a brilliant host. We opted for dinner on the first night after a big day of travel and the kottu was delicious. We also had breakfast both mornings. They were delicious and fantastic value for money.

Perfectly located homestay for our quick visit in Kandy to go to the cricket at Pallekelle. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Ranjith and his wife are excellent hosts - very friendly and hospitable. Brekky was a tasty traditional Sri Lankan recipe. We had a wonderful stay, and would return.
