staff does not speak any english at all not the cleanest

It was the best budget option by far in Cao Bang. We booked a double, and the room was huge. The location right on the river front, in the city, was great - although close to what (there isnt much in Cao Bang) I am not certain.

The ubiquitous Vietnam 3% charge for using credit card. What part of paying their own charge for the credit card facility, instead of passing it on to their customers, do they not understand? I objected to it, but agreed to pay, but the obnoxious lady owner just could not understand .. I didnt argue with her, but there was a screaming match between her and her brother, who perfectly understood the problem. I should have kept my mouth shut! The room could have been cleaner - sticky cup rings on fridge top and surfaces - you know the place wasnt cleaned correctly after the last guest.

Staff was helpful. The room was nice and the cafe had really good dessert.

Room didn't have much room for clothes hanging therefore maybe not ideal for long stay.

Location, confortable bed, spacy room. Good value for the price.

Staff lacks english basic vocabulary. Poor options for breakfast and too long to serve a simple cofee.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Loved the cafe downstairs. Room was comfortable and a good reward after a week's cycling.

I'm not sure how eco the hotel is but looks like they make effort to reduce plastic and they cook everything fresh
