Nomades Hostel

All the staff and owners were gentle and very friendly. It is a great place to stay, and I fell at home

It is very central and close to lago Atlitlan, but makes it noisy, with music from other pubs, cars and tuktuks

The staff are amazing, the nicest and chill group.

Cool showers, 2 bathrooms for everyone (except it never seemed to be a problem) , super noisy since it is close to the street.

Good location and kitchen, quite clean, comfy beds if you like hard mattrasses, nice that they give you a proper blanket. More or less frequent activities are available.

The plug socket situation is more than unsatisfying, there‘s only one extension block beneath a bottom bunk for the whole dorm. The dorm was also missing hooks or other options to store your stuff like a small bedside board. Bathroom situation is kinda funny too, there are only two showers and two toilets for the whole hostel. The two tiny sinks available are located around the staircase and not suited for more than washing your hands. The two volunteers that checked me in seemed to have no real interest in what they were doing and missed out on giving the most important informations. So they didn‘t even tell me there was a code for the main door, I could‘ve easily locked myself out at night. Apparently there‘s a breakfast available for pretty cheap, got no information on this as well. Wifi was quite unstable from time to time.

Only one shower and two toilets for all guests. Room only had one outlet for everyone on the ground.

The staff at this property are so lovely and really glad to help with anything. I stayed in the apartment, which is small - but you have the option to go across the road to their bigger hostel and use a bigger kitchen and rooftop. It felt like a home away from home after I got settled in. Right in the centre of Panajachel. There’s free tea and coffee whenever you want in the apartment too. Lockers are available. The hostel arranged a free hike with a local guide which was a highlight of my trip.

The sink for the bathroom being inside the main room can wake people up if you need to use it early morning or at night. Don’t stay in the apartment if you are allergic to cats as the neighbours cat likes to come in - choose to stay in the bigger hostel instead.

Nice Balcony, mostly friendly and supportive staff. Free coffee and tea.

The hostel consisted of one and a half rooms with one sink for up to ten people and everything like washing hands, dishes, brushing teeth.. There was one small toilet/shower directly attached to the dorm and a tiny stove. Facilities didn’t seem very clean.

I got a free upgrade to a room in the other building, and it’s a cozy place with a good energy! The guys are great and they’re making a really cool place of it! Ps. you can even surfskate on the rooftop ;)
