Ran out of coffee Thought breakfast was at 0800 but it changed to 0830 so guest wasn’t able to get it

"Private" bathroom Was not very private as we had to walk along the corridor past another room, stand on top othe staircase which led to outside door then open a fire door to get to the "private" bathroom Beer garden was weed ridden

GBThe location was easy to get to, the booking was straightforward and great value for money. I didn’t pay much in comparison with other options in the area, and yet it was exactly what I needed and very clean. Also, very importantly, I stayed here on my own as a 23 year old woman, arriving at night. Not once did I feel unsafe.
GBGBI arrived in the dark on a cold, wet and windy night, as I walked in the Giler Arms the welcomed warmth from the open fire was the first thing that hit me! The lady behind the bar was lovely and showed me to my room. The single room was perfect, very well presented with a comfy bed. All the usual amenities with a added bottle of water and a satchet of hot chocolate. The shower was brilliant and got hot very quickly. The Giler also has plenty of car parking. Beautiful location brilliant accommodation.

The staff were friendly and efficient, but there aren’t enough of them! We booked this stay partly because they had a breakfast service. But lack of a chef meant they cancelled breakfast with no warning. We only wanted basic food before a day of walking. No need for a chef. There was nowhere nearby to pick up breakfast.
