Ramadale Stornoway

Breakfast was superb and offered at my convenience. Real coffee was available in the room as well. The room had lovely views. Donald and Margaret were helpful and friendly hosts.

I found the shower difficult to operate because the setting markings made no sense to me. I should have asked for assistance.

Incredibly warm and helpful hosts, fantastic breakfast with bonus pancakes (still warm), message from hosts whom I had never met that they were going to pick me up from the ferry because it was dark - so kind! I love old things, and the house was full of carved wooden furniture and antiques. Just stunning. FLUFFY towels and a good shower. Super-comfy bed, too, so a win all round. Definitely returning for my next stay.

Lovely property and excellent hosts. The homemade cake was delicious and breakfast was great too. Highly recommend and will be back next time I’m on the island. I stopped in the single room which was still plenty big enough

I had a fabulous stay at Ramadale! So cosy and cute and an easy walk from the main streets of Stornoway. Donald makes the best breakfast as well. Was the perfect place to stay for a solo traveller!

Donald and Margaret are fabulous hosts. The room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. There is also a comfy guest lounge. Donald cooks a great breakfast and makes whatever you would like. Good location on quiet street and easy walk into town centre.

I liked everything!

This is a fantastic B&B. In fact it’s more like a small boutique hotel. My single room was very comfy. There were lovely touches like a small French press coffee maker & coffee. Down stairs there was a fridge with soft drinks & milk. Along with slices of cake in the afternoon. The breakfast each day was delicious. One day I had a full Scottish breakfast, the next day Donald cooked me 2 delicious kippers. Both Donald & his wife are exceptional hosts.

When I arrived by plane, my luggage had been lost by KLM in Amsterdam. It never arrived afterwards. The friendly owners provided me with clothes and the necessary equipment to do the hiking I had intended to do. And I could do it and enjoy it. They were extraordinarily helpful and gave a lot of encouragement. Before departure day, the ferries stopped sailing due to adverse weather conditions. I was instantly offered to keep my room for another night.. The way I was treated is by no means self-explaining , but reason for an enormous gratitude from my side. Great place, situated 10 min from the center by foot, and great people.. Absolutely recommended.

Not one point I could criticise at all.

Donald was the perfect host, his house is immaculate and very cosy, I will definitely be back
