Nook Tulum by The Spot Rentals

The apartment was way over my expectation, cause i did rent it without seeing any picture of the inside during my reservation process.

The only problem of this apartment right now is the noise during the day caused by the neighboring construction site, from 8am to 6pm

The pool area is nice. Hopefully in the future there will also be a restaurant/bar now there is only the bar area but no operation.

We were locked out of our apartment with only bikini, towels and phone for about 6h trying to get in contact with the rental company we messaged through Booking and got several different numbers to call but they dont answer. This ended with the property manager had to get maintance to break open the door and it also seems like this might have happend before. The next day the rental company answered and only asking if the lock was working. No compensation and no remorse for their guests wellbeing whatsoever. The AC upstairs did also not work so it was a full blow sauna in the apartment. Save your precious time and money and book another place. Or book a Nook apartment through another rental company!!!!

Nothing to like about this property. Our stay here was pretty bad - straight out of hell!

My experience at the Nook Tulum property, booked through booking.com and managed by Spot Rentals, left much to be desired. Here are some notable issues: 1. Accessibility and Location: The property is situated in the midst of a construction area, and the road leading to it is in poor condition. The lack of lighting at night makes navigating to the location challenging. 2. Check-In Process: Despite receiving self-check-in details, there was no one available at the reception to provide additional instructions, leaving us uncertain about which building our apartment was located in. 3. Amenities and Maintenance: The absence of elevators in any of the buildings, coupled with narrow staircases, made it difficult to transport luggage to our second-floor apartment. The room wasn't cleaned daily, and the inability to open doors due to construction dust and noise intrusion was a significant inconvenience. Our assigned apartment had a cracked cement floor with concrete chips, posing safety concerns, especially with a toddler. Additionally, the lack of a working WiFi connection, despite the network details provided during self-check-in, further added to the discomfort. 4. Communication Issues: Attempts to contact the host regarding the WiFi problem and the unsafe condition of the apartment went unanswered through various channels. Even booking.com was unable to establish communication with the host. In summary, the overall experience was subpar, and I would not recommend this property to others.

1. Apartament layout. New apartment. Modern. 2. Peace and quiet. It's in the middle of the jungle. Only fresh air and birds chirping 3. Guarded entrance and was able to park the rented scooter w/o the fear of being stolen.

1. We stayed for 4 nights and the cleaning staff didn't came once at least to pick up the garbage or check for anything. 2. We are unsure tbh if the bed sheets and towels were clean, changed for our arrival. 3. The couch was dirty. 4. The internet connection is through a prepayed hotspot device with poooooor speed and LIMITED traffic. 5. The road to the property is literally through a construction site, it is a dirt road, actual dirt road, with huge bumps and potholes. If it rains ... somebody is gonna have a real bad time. We rented a scooter for the 4 days and if you are unexperienced that part of the road is a "experience".
