Oriental Bay At Its Best

Prime location right on the bay, with stunning views! very much enjoyed getting the little cable car up to the apartment too. Clear communication from host, all very clean and breakfast goods were a lovely extra touch!

No free parking during the week was a shame but being in such a central location comes with that!

The view was amazing. The outdoor furniture and table were nice for relaxing. There was a small kitchenette. The property was very unique with cable lift.

The bathroom was tiny. No place to set out toiletries. The shower was tiny and the sink was minuscule. Only paid parking during the day..

Incredible view, clear instructions for how to access via cable car, everything you need. I loved watching the swimmers cross the bay each morning - an ever changing view. Quiet and warm. We bussed there and back - you get off at Grass St Oriental Bay stop.

Our only difficulty was the bed was too soft for us and we ended up with sore backs and hips. We are of a certain age though so many other travellers wouldn't notice.

It was really lovely. My only things I would say was, some salt for the kitchen would be great, also maybe some outside blankets for sitting on the chairs outside. The place was so nice and warm inside, great shower and loved that there was soap etc. Better internet wouldn't be hard and in 2025 is a must. I never got an email saying how to get in, so I felt bad I had to contact the host and bother him on his Friday evening. The cable car was amazing! So cool! Took a while to find the full length mirror, so maybe let people know where that is. Other than that would highly recommend! Oh also, the fridge was way too cold and almost froze everything.

Amazing view of wellington so great to sit outside and have breakfast on a sunny morning or watch the sunset. Easy access into Wellington. Good communication to access apartment. Decent basic breakfast provided. Cable car to apartment is novel and good fun

Table leg broken so it nearly collapsed when we tried to move it. Bedside light doesn't work. Overall could have been cleaner, particularly the bathroom. Cups and glasses not very clean. Bathroom is very narrow, which does make showering and using the small wash basin difficult. No suitcase stand so have to keep luggage on the floor in a room with limited space. All starting to get a little tired so some small improvements would make this amazing as its all about the view. No parking, which is made very clear, so you will need to pay $20 per day to park on the main road.

The view was absolutely stunning and was in a great location.

The pillows were absolutely terrible and extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. The towel rack was way too close to the toilet which made life difficult.

It has a beautiful view and an extremely comfortable bed. Also loved the cable car up to the studio. Quite novel!

Only issue is wifi although it was not really a problem for me . I can see how it could be an is though.
