Isla Verde Apartment 1BR

Location

Many problems came up and it was impossible to reach the owner directly. I had to call Booking.Com each time so they can contact him. The wait time for Booking.com Made the whole processes very time consuming, but they always got through to the owner. I spent a lot of time on the phone instead of the beach.

Good location

The air conditioning was not working the cleaners of the apartment was not that great also no hot water I told the owner and never took care of

The apartment had the essentials needed and was conveniently located to shops, restaurants, and most importantly the beach that was only a block away. The property had a pool onsite which was very nice and refreshing.

The host was difficult to get a hold of and insisted on a picture of my ID and credit card to provide over email to "validate" the transaction before giving the lock box combination to the apartment was given. This was booked through Booking.com and payment was supposed to be at the property but payment was charged to my credit card on file two days prior to my arrival in Puerto Rico. I was told that providing my financial information and ID via email was just like a hotel taking this information but this is not safe or wise and sounded very suspicious. I explained that I was not comfortable with this and that I had already paid in advance vs pay at property as advertised. Due to this, I was worried and very frustrated with where my family and I would stay that night once we landed so I had to book a room at another property since it was getting closer to my flight time departure to Puerto Rico and still no solid confirmation was given. The host finally responded with the lock box info after I had already booked a room for 1 night, so I lost out on that money due to the delayed response.

Location was great. Walking distance to the beach. Pool was nice.

AC unit in living room did not work! Had to spend majority of the time in bedroom. Also, the balcony sliding door did not close/lock. No hot water for showers!

Great location 2 miles from airport

A/C in living space didn't work but A/C in bedroom work sent message never received a response. Part of the bathroom tub drain was missing Beds were very hard. The call box was hanging off the wall. Paid $165+ definitely not worth the money

Location was great and the place was really nice and the pool was great

The building doesn't have AC and the apartment we rented only had a working AC in the bedroom so the living room was really hot and the sliding door in the living room to the balcony made alot of noise when you opened it and was also hard to open, also the beds were uncomfortable and hard

The location of the apartment is great. It is walking distance of Isla Verde Beach, about 5 minutes. There’s also a good variety of restaurants and stores near by (Tavo Bell, Burger King, a pharmacy etc.)The Apartment was overall very clean. The apartment offers a personal one space parking next to the building. My family enjoyed the pool!

We stayed 5 nights and would have liked to have room service, mainly for the trash and restock on toiletries.

The property was in a secure building and was at a great location.

At arrival security would not let us in the building, stating that we had to have the property owner call and let her know that we were okay to enter. Check in was at 3 pm, we did not arrive until around 4:30 pm. It took nearly 40 minutes to communicate what was needed from security and get the owner to do what was needed. This should have been done before 3pm check in time. The living room a/c was on with an error code. After messaging the owner, they stated that the living room a/c shouldn't even be plugged in. There was a fan in the living room. The balcony doors do not close properly. There is a gap between them so there is a constant warm airflow. There were dead bugs all around the apartment. No washcloths in the unit. NONE of the furniture is comfortable. The beds were horribly uncomfortable, one of the beds is on wheels and squeaks with every movement. There are not enough linens for the 2 beds in the bedroom and the futon that is in the living room. You have to take pillows and blankets from the beds to have anything on the futon, even though this property is listed as having 3 beds. There is bright light coming from the parking lot into the bedroom, with all that light some blackout curtains would be useful. Overall, we would not revisit this property.
