Bernardini room - Split center

The easy accessibility to the town

Ideal location in the old town of Split, just a short walk up from the bus station. There’s a laundry literally around the corner to the right and a bar two doors down which did not get too rowdy. The heated towel rack was a boon to dry towels etc and the shower strong and responsive. We didn’t even get a chance to watch the TV!

Although it is three steps down below the street, there is no provision for opening a window but we only used the room as a base to sleep and shower. The kettle was missing and Boris did try to replace it by leaving it outside our door, but of course it ‘walked’ too. My only suggestions for improvement would be for a side table or shelf for the other side of the bed and some shower gel. Additional directions for a supermarket and pharmacy could be helpful as Google Maps can sometimes go awry with the narrow alleys.

The bed was very comfy and very big. The location was right in the middle of Split. The room had underfloor heating which was nice because the room did get cold on your feet with the tiles.

Over the three nights we only got a hot shower twice between two of us. The hot water never seemed to stay for long and never built back up on the boiler. Get ready for cold showers if you stay. The bed could have been smaller for the room to allow more space for storage or suitcases. No small shower products left such as shower gel if needed for that first night. With it being in the center expect noise on a night. The place is right behind two bars and next to two eateries.

Everything needed was very close. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious enough.

The front door could be more soundproof - the visitors of the nearby bar were very noisy.

Great location, ideal for exploring the old town. Host was very lovely and accommodating on such short notice.

Quite noisy in the evenings, especially if you’re a light sleeper!

Bruno was the best host. My tour was running late so he met me at the bus and helped me with my luggage Fantastic person. The room was the perfect size in the perfect location. Very nicely decorated and clean.

Host was cracking and very accommodating. Nicely decorated. Bed was extremely comfortable. Nice simple room to leave your bags and get out and explore, plenty of room for a couple on a short holiday. Shower/bathroom roomy. Plenty of storage for clothes. Location was cracking. Overall very happy.

No view from the window, felt a bit claustrophobic! As others have said, noisy at night but I will say I found this from other accommodation I have stayed in in split. This did however die down about midnight.
