LTThe location is very good - it is not exactly in the city centre, but only 5 minute walk down hill from the main shopping street - Corso Umberto. The view through the window is really nice - you can see the houses of Taormina beautifully situated on the hill and get a glimpse of the sea. For this price the appartment really offers great quality - it is spacious, quite newly decorated, has plenty of storage and all the basic things for cooking a meal.
In many of the reviews you will read about the terrace - but, bear in mind, that if you rent the least expensive appartment, which I think I did, you will not get access to the terrace. Which is ok, because, as mentioned, the window view overlooking the town is pretty nice also.

I didn’t see the router and didn’t see the WiFi credentials displayed. the host provided them only after I asked about them. they haven’t bothered to customise the password, so it is a long combination of numbers and letters. When I asked about public transportation, they were unfamiliar with it and advised me “to call the bus company”. You’d think they could at least provide a link to on online resource. it’s above all the restaurants and stores, so it’s a trek on steep inclines to get to stuff. I’m a lower limb amputee, so for me that presents a problem. For most guests, I assume it would be no big deal, but be advised. There were delayed responses at WhatsApp. Sometimes incomplete information and explanation in response to my questions. No laundry detergent to go with the machine. what? Do they think the traveler lugs detergent around?. The mattress was too soft for my taste. A 10am checkout time is unusually early. And they mean business. The cleaners rapped on the door at 10am sharp. Generally, it seems that they hadn’t given as much thought to the convenience and comfort of their guests as do many of the Airbnb hosts I’ve encountered. I didn’t get the sense that they cared all that much.
