The host was very nice. The room was huge and very clean. It was also very close to the metro and a ton of sights. It was super easy to get to from the airport as it’s near the first stop on the 100E bus.

The location is pretty central, with many buses, subway, and many nice restaurants nearby.

I booked this hotel for 6 nights, but I only stayed there for the first night, during which I only managed to get 4 hours of sleep. I got the room number 4, even after I closed all the windows, there is a regular rumbling noise that came and went every 15 minutes or so. It might have stopped during the night (because I did manage to fall sleep), but it started at around 5 am and woke me up and kept me awake. The real killer is that it is a low frequency noise that cannot be blocked by earplugs. I might be more sensitive to noise than average people, but usually earplugs would easily solve the problem. This is the first time ever that even earplugs cannot help. So I had to book another hotel for the remaining 5 days of the trip. I moved out of this place on Tuesday evening. I informed the owners about this, but they never got back to me, not even a small apology. I got the room number 4, and I am not sure if this affects other rooms as well. (I suspect that it would, to some extent, since all the rooms are rather close to each other. But I am not sure about this.) If you don't have any other choice, then try stay here for a night and see whether the noise bothers you or not. Finally, the WIFI was not good: it was very slow and unstable. I asked the owner beforehand whether the WIFI would be good enough to have an online meeting. The owners reassured me that the WIFT is very good, and they have guests who have online meetings there all the time. Well, unless you come to Budapest for a vacation and don't plan to use WIFI for anything serious, the WIFI could really be a problem. This is the worst experience I have ever had with an apartment from Booking.com. It got very good reviews though, which is why I chose it in the first place. It could be that people who choose to stay in such apartments rather than real hotels are also those who are not insensitive to noise, and who don't need WIFI when traveling. I will avoid apartments from Booking.
