The location and the interior design

Not meeting the lender in person. Only getting half information. The steep dangerous high stairs, low ceiling that we hit our head many times. The very narrow staircase that was a serious issue when trying to bring up and down our heavy luggages to the 2nd floor, especially that we are quite tall family and besides being narrow, it had a super low ceiling. Entering the property was another hassle, since the owner did not meet us just left a very short WhatsApp message on how to get a card from the lockbox, but missed out on giving further instructions so we spent 20-30 min upon arrival just with figuring out how to enter the building and the apartment itself with the “smart system” which did not seem to work very efficiently. The property shows to having two windows on the two rooms, however the bedroom window opens into the staircase so there is no fresh air coming from that side, it was a bit suffocating when not using the A/C (parents are very sensitive to A/C) Breakfast was very limited, one coffee and one small croissant, the rest was payable.

Location was perfect

Space was super clean and homely - very lovely to come into after a day of travel.

No toilet/bathroom door just a curtain but being a couple that didn’t bother us.

- great location in the heart of the historic center - amazing rooftop terrace with 3 tables and direct view on the wonderful Monopoli cathedral - all amenities available, including small kitchenette in case you want to cook some of your meals (and eat them on aforementioned rooftop terrace). There was a mechanical issue with the AC while I was there but Marcella did a great job in finding a compromise solution - my room (which was the “small” one on the top floor) looked actually bigger and cozier than on the pictures - great, helpful staff, Marcella giving great recommendations (try Condominio60 for an elegant and tasty seafood meal!), wonderful Valentina as cleaning lady

- it actually didn’t bother me (as I need some extra exercise, especially on vacation!) but there were 4 flights of stairs to get to my room - maybe not ideal for older ppl

Position and generally a comfortable room. Roof top terrace but unfortunately again reached by steep stairs.

Lack of personal contact with staff. Not clear on website that the room wasn’t serviced daily and only change of towels once during four day stay when specifically requested. Very steep and narrow stairs to reach room. Miserable breakfast of a cup of coffee and a croissant at a nearby cafe not in room as advertised.

Location is perfect, clean, spacious, and excellent host!

no door to toilet, Information regarding check in and check out was not communicated, everything can be heard through the walls/doors, staff was nice and tried to compensate

The location was excellent. If you have mobility issues or depth perception issues the staircase will be an issue. To access the apartment, you have to climb up incredibly steep and a very long staircase and it would create an issue for someone that has issues with mobility, so just be warned. The access to the beach and local old town was amazing. Felt like we were right in the thick of it. Bed was very comfortable, I have back issues so the bed is always most important to me. Great lumbar support. You will have a comfortable stay here as the apartment is also quite spacious. Hosts were very accommodating and pleasant as well. Kitchen is well set up. Little rooftop terrace also good for views of the town. Will definitely stay here again. Just loved it. Can't wait to visit this lovely apartment again in the future.

The apartment needs Black out curtains that you can pull over the thinner curtains that are currently there as the sun woke us up. The thinner curtain is good for the day as it lets in sunlight, but not great in the morning. We all woke up at 5:30am, but on the Brightside, we went for an incredibly lovely early morning swim in the ocean.

A cute place in a great location, very clean, well maintained.

Unfortunately I haven’t noticed (or it wasn’t mentioned) that this place has very steep, narrow extreme stairs. We were travelling with 5 month old baby and it was quite uncomfortable
