Really well-designed room, and en-suite, a comfortable bed, relaxing subdued lighting, soft feel carpet under foot. Welcome was professional, efficient, friendly. Car parking spaces are available at the rear of the property which looks like it has undergone a complete update in recent months. Didn't have a chance to try the food as we had booked into the brilliant vegetarian restaurant, The Waiting Room, near Eaglesciffe Station.

There could have been one bright light, to find a lost contact lens, or similar. The sound of the road at the front of the property was cut out by good quality windows, but sounds from the pub underneath the rooms, while not loud, still permeated. If you stay in a pub this is to be expected, and did not stop us getting a decent night's sleep.

Clean and bed comfortable

The electrics tripped multiple times throughout the night which meant the trip board was beeping constantly and the emergency room lights came on so room was like daylight. Impossible to sleep. Contacted hotel subsequently to invite them to discuss a refund/discount but have heard nothing back from them.

I have stayed a few times now and it never disappoints. Spotless room and lovely staff

Perfect for work trip

Shower door was annoying but everything else was great so no real drama and I’m normally a fussy traveler

The staff were friendly and helpful.as ever. Rooms are always clean.
