Top Location in Riga with WiFi

Nothing special that worth noticing.

1. The room is in the basement, it is constantly damp and cold. 2. Every couple of minutes unpleasant sounds are heard from the ventilation, as if something is falling, especially when it is windy. 3. The bed and mattress are uncomfortable, the sheet is not fixed and gets bunched up. 4. The linen is synthetic, not cotton, with all the discomfort that entails. 5. There are dishes in the kitchen, but there are not enough basic things like a spatula for the frying pan. 6. The owner has not been able to make an invoice for the stay for more than 2 weeks, sometimes ignoring, sometimes pretending that he cannot do this, although this is his direct responsibility.

Convenient self check-in with clear instructions, the apartment pretty much looks like the pictures, nice area of Riga with lots of cafes and restaurants around, old town is only 20 minutes of walking

To reach the apartment you have to open an extra door which has a note "keep this door locked at all times". We found this quite unsafe in case of a fire or other emergency. Both the bed and shower are not suitable for tall people. I'm 2 meter tall and couldn't fit in the bed (there is a wall directly at the end of the bed) and neither in the shower (which has a very low ceiling). The apartment is kind of in the basement. The windows are directly at the building's parking lot, the air in the apartment felt moist and had a bit of a smell, the ceiling is in a rough shape. Also the curtains are too small for the windows so light still comes in.

No complaints

The apartment was clean upon our arrival. However, the previous guest had violated the non-smoking rules, and the smell of cigarettes was quite unpleasant. Thankfully, the host promptly arranged for a more thorough cleaning the next day, after which our stay in the apartment went smoothly.

The apartment is located on the ground floor, with windows facing directly onto the parking area.
