Shepherd's Hut at High Gardens

Loved the views, we could've sat at the hut all day. Loved how clean it all was. Loved the shower, so warm! Loved watching the owls at night Loved the walks around the area, gorgeous! Loved the comfortable bed, so cosy! Loved how well made everything is Loved how deluxe it felt!

Bathroom is in a separate building. No problems for us but I imagine it's hard work on a winter night.

Mark and Teresa are wonderful hosts. The accommodation has everything needed and all finished to a very high standard. The location is stunning and peaceful. This was our second visit but definitely not the last. Thank you both.

Where to begin?? Lovely friendly hosts, kind and welcoming but never intrusive. Stunning surroundings with lots of options for walks and sightseeing. Spotlessly clean, well equipped with quality appliances. Comfy bed. Pretty private garden area.

Beautiful views, relaxing environment, wildlife, lovely garden and very welcoming hosts with outstanding gifts on arrival.

Nothing could be better but long, narrow and occasionally steep and twisty roads to get to the property from the main roads.

This place was so idyllic, its clean and cosy and decorated beautifully! The kitchenette has everything you need, including beautifully kept gardens you can sit and eat in! The huts are next to the main house, but seperated with greenery so it still feels totally private but with the comfort of knowing someones there if you need them! Mark and Theresa were super lovely, loads of great local advice, and just genuinely wonderful people. Special mention to Winsley the ginger cat, who made sure to greet us everytime we got back to the huts, and come for cuddled when we were lounging in the sun! We stayed here as we were doing an experience at Oldfield Forge, and we will definitely be back again for the forge AND the Sheperds huts!

The Shepherd’s hut is so peaceful. Mark & Teresa have thought of everything and are on hand if there’s anything needed. Mark recommended a walk up to Garway Hill where the views are stupendous. The garden is full of flowers that the bees love and the sounds of nature are soothing. The view from the hut is beautiful especially at sunrise. We’ve had a delightful stay.
