The location of the property, and the stream that runs behinds it.

Overall the property wasn't clean. We arrived to dirt on the floor, dog hairs covered on the rug, dirty placemats and crockery. We tried to vacuum the floors and the rug, however the vacuum lacked suction due to it already being clogged up with dog hairs. We found two out of the three bedrooms with blood stains on the sheets - this was rectified by the property management company by allowing us to use some new bedding stored away - we changed this ourselves. The company advised us to store the dirty ones under the ottoman bed or out of the way - we stored it under the bed. We informed the company that we would roll up the rug that was dirty and put it in the conservatory - and they were okay with that. On the day we checked out, we were billed the full rental price again. So we called ASAP to find out why. The management company advised that the housekeeper told us we left 40 minutes late - when in fact we were out of the house by 10:10 and off the drive way by 10:15 latest. The housekeeper also advised the placemats were dirty, the rug had been removed, so due to this, we were charged double rental. The housekeeper also advised the company that the bins were left overflowing - which was true, only because they hadn't been emptied before we arrived, so we had no choice! The crockery and placemats were dirty when we arrived, but we just cleaned them up without kicking up a fuss, but to have this charge levied on is disgusting. Especially as we weren't informed prior to this charge being made. I suspect the housekeeper didn't like the fact that we had complained about the cleanliness of the place when we arrived to the property management company. Such a great location, but we will never book again. Although the property management company have advised they will provide us with a refund (pending), using our card details to make another rental charge without our consent is disgraceful.

no light in dining area,needs a blind on lounge window. double mattress needs replacing. needs a note stating garden not secure for dogs.

Location and privacy was really great. Nice pub just a 5mins walk. Inside, cottage as per the pics, clean and comfortable. Other than glasses which were in shortly supply, the kitchen had a good range of cookware etc. The cakes were a nice welcome too. Staff in office were very responsive when we highlighted a few things.

The lawn had not been cut and previous guest had not picked up after their pooch. Quite a few parcels left around sadly, hard to see in the longer grass. Also, not completely secure garden and with some rubbish also from previous guest, we couldn't let our dogs off the lead or on the grass much. Thankfully, we were out most of the time or relaxing inside in the evening

Gorgeous cottage in idyllic location. Lots of outside space, peaceful, very comfortable beds & sofa. Would happily return in any season, highly recommend.

Small problem with fridge freezer - good contact from managing company
