La Sonrisa de Niki

The location was only 5 minutes away from family we were visiting. It's a very quiet and seemingly safe neighborhood where we had no difficulties to park our rental car. We arrived earlier and were able to get to the house before check in time.

You have to first get to a hotel that is 10 minutes away to get the keys to the house, even if there is a box with a code on the door. The box seems to be meant to leave the key only when you go away, to avoid loosing it while you're being a tourist. Also when leaving you have to bring back the key to the hotel. It would be very convenient to be able to collect the key and leave it directly in the box. When you get into the house there is a strange smell, which seems to be due to the mold that is on the walls. The toilet seat is only half attached and the dining table is not stable at all you can't even eat on it. Unfortunately the weekend we stayed there was rainy and cold. The A/C in the bedroom with the double bed doesn't work so they installed a gaz heater. Couldn't leave it on while sleeping so it was quite cold during the night. Also the cleanliness was not the best as the sofa is stained and the floor was dirty. I must say I was a bit disappointed.
