Poor communication, the code we were given was old and didn't let us in. Thank goodness the cleaner heard us knocking and contacted the owners Terrible nights sleep every night. The apartment is directly opposite the firebug bar and club. The walls literally vibrate from 11pm to 4am. We only stayed Tuesday and Wednesday so cannot imagine the horror at weekend. We actually went and asked them at 2am would they consider reducing sound. Of course they didn't. There's no extras that elevate the apartment. No vacuum, no dust pan and brush, no dish cloths, no washing up liquid, no washing powder, one toilet had no toilet roll and No bin bags. They make a big thing of cleaning but you would be hard pushed to clean. Literally it's the bare necessities. I've stayed in loads of self catering and never found one as mean with equipment as this.

The owner communicated throughout and was flexible to my needs :) . The location is just about 15min walk from the train station , close to a McDonald’s and other food stores + restaurants just a few steps away. Pocklington is really secure felt safe the entire time. Check in was smooth , really easy instructions. Whole apartment was clean and tidy.had towels ,soaps and some snacks left for us. Rooms were big enough . I would recommend this self catering apartment.

The bathrooms were a bit small but beautiful and Morden lol.

The property was stunning inside, really beautifully renovated, spacious with tall ceilings, and interesting facts about the building hidden in the décor. Amazing attention to detail: included antique books on the coffee table relating to the Town Clerk's role in 1877 when working in that building then. We were attending a burlesque review at the Firebug which was located across the road from the Pocklington, so I appreciated that it was such a short walk in high heels. I couldn't find towels in the room but a quick text to host and there was someone at the door with towels within fifteen minutes.

The district and surrounds are city centre, which is very convenient for all facilities but can be noisy at night. It's great for nightlife in Leicester though and the relaxing room to return to was fab.
