6 Person Holiday Home in Jaegerspris

This was a very mixed experience, on balance the stresses of dealing with DanCenter outweighed the positives, but there were many positives. We rented a summer house about 40 minutes drive from Copenhagen for the family in September, in Gerlev near Jaegerpris. Positives: Quaint traditional summerhouse, spacious for a family of four, very very peaceful by the lake/fjord, well equipped, lots of wildlife, good local restaurant, no congestion on regular drive to Copenhagen. While we never met the owner, it felt friendly (they left us logs for the fire, only used twice but great, and a working TV that accepted our Netflix account). Copenhagen is a wonderful city, especially Tivoli, and added much to the positives. Danish people are wonderful too. Oh, and car hire is cheap, the only cheap thing in Denmark. Negatives. On arrival late at night (delayed flight), the neighbour did not believe we were visitors and threatened to set his dogs on us - I thought he might shoot me but luckily he calmed down. This is all in the pitch black by a lakeside and summer house that looks spooky in the dark. The first morning, the roof leaked around 500 ml of water onto the bed in the master bedroom, despite there being no rain - totally weird. By now Ithought we were in a Danish horror movie. DanCenter said they would send someone, but nobody appeared. This leaking stopped on it own and things got better. The biggest stress though was DanCenter, chaotic, took ages to stop them invoicing me.
