"I was quite comfortable and felt safe but had to buy bath cleaner and sponge to clean the bath."

5.0

It was compact and had basic facilities.

The outside lights were not working either front or back. There is a hole in the wall where the attachment for the front door security chain should be. The bath was unacceptably dirty. (Photos) There was nothing to sit or put clothes on - eg stool - in the bathroom. The carpet in the main room is stained. The freezer had not been defrosted. No coffee pot or coffee maker - sachets of instant are not s substitute. Although the designated car parking place is near the back garden gate, it is a ten minute drive! Also hard to locate in the dark - better directions would help. My impression was that they had done the absolute minimum to achieve a certain rating. Horrible plastic plants everywhere. Even in the garden. No evidence of thoughtfulness or prrsonal touch.

"Positive Experience!"

Park House by the Blue Skies Stays is a nice place to accommodate during a work stay or as a getaway during a vacation in Tees Valley. It is located in the Albert Park area, at the end of which is the historic Dorman Museum. Since my 7-day stay in Middlesbrough was professional and combined work from home, at the University and in the field, the house's location was exceptionally convenient. Prons The house is fully furnished and facilitated to a medium-high standard, and it fantastically responds to the guests' needs for extended stays. The facilities also include fresh linens and towels, which is a great advantage, and a starter pack (spices, dishwashing liquid, soap), which is useful before buying your own products. From my perspective, the free WiFi I needed for my work and private check-in and check-out were also advantages, as this gave me a lot of freedom and was simply convenient. Above that, due to my work, I needed an extra desk, which the Blue Skies Stays provided on the second day of my stay. A huge plus and thanks to Helen and Ian, who kindly brought it to me with an extra chair! Moreover, an advantage is the communication with the Blue Skies Stays, who responded to my messages quite regularly, although they addressed me by my last name even though I pointed this out several times.

Cons The house was not thoroughly cleaned. Both cabinets, fridge, and kitchen utensils were dirty, and the closet in the bedroom was very dirty. Free car park space designated by a property number - which is a perk of the Park House - could sometimes be occupied by the nearest neighbours and their friends, who happened not to be friendly when you paid attention to them. Above that, even though the property is located in a residential, well-preserved, clean and quiet area of modern buildings, it happened that the nearest neighbours hold an all-day sit-in in the garden with loud music. Of course, the Blue Skies Stays is not and cannot be responsible for this situations at all, but if one is planning work or having a quiet holiday at the Park House, one may be a bit surprised.
