GuestHost - Bologna Santa Maria dei Servi Apartment x3

We booked here as part of our backpacking tour of Italy. We arrived at the property and was greeted by a gentleman who gave us the keys and showed us around. He didn’t say much but kept mentioning about electricity and showed us the fuse boxes numerous times - has this been a problem in the past? We looked around and realised the apartment was quite dirty, cluttered with a lot of junk too. The sink and bidet were cracked (the sink almost hanging off) with mould in the grouted areas. When we tried to use the shower the cubicle was tiny and there was no running hot water. The kitchen facilities were poor with lots of cracked items and barely equipped to cook even a basic meal. The Wi-Fi did not work - little information was given apart from a scribbled password. The TV switched on but did not work to connect to any channels. The hairdryer did not work. After 1 night we decided to leave. We made contact with the property explaining why we had decided to leave. We have not received a response from the property. This property is not what is advertised on Booking.com and I would advise to find somewhere else to stay in Bologna.

Very bad smell of smoking in the apartment. Heating thermostat monitored by owner which results in very cold and humid apartment. The owner rushed us to check out first at 9am and then at 8am which we found very rude if his part. Do not recommend

The fact that it was a bit smelly when we first entered. The bathroom sink was broken so it could be dangerous. Also, water came out of the shower when you were using it,so the floor was wet.
