Central 2 BD Apartment by Hostlovers

The location of this property was the only good thing ik this booking. The owner was horrible, very rude, disrespectfull. Once we arived at the property, we called the owner to open the gate for vehicle, he regused to do so and requested to fill up the form with personal and sensitive information which seemed very strange to us as we have never ever been requested to do so in any other bookings ever. He requested a full personal information such as passport details from all of us. Once we told him we would like to cancel, he then changed his mind and let us in without the filled information that he requested before. this was very strange. He still requested to fill up the form within 2 days and when we tried to do so the link was not valid. i do not understand why is this even acceptable behavour of the owner, since when are we requested to do these kind of forms. Also the owner is not lithuanian at all and he did not bothered to speak in our language and show us respect at all. As I mentioned the location property was fine but not the owner. I hope he will at least learn in the near future how to respect people and be nice in Lithuania.

Unfortunately, our experience at this accommodation was extremely disappointing and far from what was advertised. We had to leave after just one night due to multiple issues that made the apartment unlivable. Check-in was frustrating. We didn’t receive access instructions until I called the host twice while standing outside with luggage. Once inside, we discovered the apartment was on the 6th floor with no elevator — something not disclosed in the listing or reservation. Basic amenities were missing or not working properly: Furniture: Kitchen stools were broken and unusable. The sofa bed, which was supposed to accommodate a fifth guest, was broken and unsafe to sleep on. Shower: Leaking showerhead and weak pressure made for an uncomfortable experience. Toilet: It didn’t flush. I contacted the host via WhatsApp and was told a red water pipe handle had to be turned on — not explained anywhere. Once on, water ran all night, making it hard to sleep. Bathroom had also already used dirty old rug to re-use. WiFi: No information was provided. I had to ask via Booking, got the wrong code, and eventually found the correct one taped under the router — something that could’ve easily been printed and left out. Parking: Advertised as free, but no instructions were given. My guests arrived at 9pm to find a blocked gate. After checking that no info was shared from their part, I had to call the host. He said we’d need to contact him each time we entered or exited, which felt awkward and unreliable. The apartment looks nice in photos but was poorly maintained and not guest-ready. The host was responsive, but nearly every issue required calling or messaging. At €211 + €20 city tax, it was absolutely not worth the price. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless major improvements are made. I can see the issues I raised were already shared by other guests in the past but not resolved. Even if they say they will look into any issue, they will not.

It was amazing to sit on the wide windowsill, drink my morning coffee, and look out over the city center. The apartment is in the heart of Kaunas, very close to many sightseeing spots and restaurants. It is spacious and equipped with all the necessary amenities.

Some parts need replacement. For instance, the door handle was temporarily fixed using adhesive tape.

Location, cozy interior, enough of space. Free parking. Silent neighbours.

Problems with parking. We didn't get the remote control or phone number for entering the parking lot and getting out. The host didn't pick up the phone for the 2 first calls. Also, the flat is in the 6th floor, there is no elevator. One of the double beds was really loud and uncomfortable. The beds were prepared only for 4 persons, but we booked for 5. There is no corckscrew and the knives are very bad.

The host didn’t return our calls despite ringing more than once. There was no lock on the bathroom door. The door handle to one of the bedrooms was stuck on with tape. One of the beds had a metal frame and was particularly uncomfortable. There were several cobwebs and dead flies on walls and ceiling.
