Mascarella Apartments by Lesdomus

Well situated in the inner city in a side street, supermarkets, bars and restaurants are close. Apartment is furnished with everything, including A/C which is necessary in the summer.

A lot of e-mails with reminders to check in online, online check in procedure is cumbersome and does not work properly on mobile. Neighbours in Apartment 20 were having a party until 3 am, I asked them to be quiet but they didn't care. Neither did the host care, I didn't even get a confirmation that they would talk to the owners.

Stayed for 5 nights in this clean modern apartment in a central location (25 minute walk to Piazza Maggiore) and is positioned back from the street which makes the apartment quiet. Some small supermarkets nearby which is convenient for getting the essentials. Access arranged was very straight forward via a key box. If you are arriving to the airport you are better getting a taxi (€20 - €25), the Marconi Express costs €26 for two from the airport to the central station. Previous reviews stated that there was no WIFI in the apartment but there is WIFI now. Overall I would recommend this apartment for cleanliness and location.

The payment of the city tax should be made when the with the initial booking payment or clearly outline that this tax will need to be paid at a certain time. Getting emails stating that the payment is due or the booking will be cancelled is unhelpful as you question whether this is a legitimate request or a scam.

Very good: Clean, new building and apartment, easy check in, nice location. This to improve: Metal chairs in the kitchen… heavy and not comfortable.

Mascarella 86 apartment is a beutiful apartment, and ideally located. On one hand, it is in the old town, and on the other the building is in a very quiet spot, so you can enjoy undisturbed sleep. But once you go out you feel the hustle and bustle of the Bologa old town. The building itself is super modern and that is also reflected in the apartment.
