Modern 2 bed city apartment with private parking

Apartment was lovely, very clean and spacious. We used it for an overnight stop as we were going to a show at the grand theatre 🎭. Having Greggs opposite was great for a bacon roll for breakfast.

Mattress in both bedrooms could do with updating along with some pillows.

Cosy and plenty of space for 4 people. Powerful shower. Good location.

Bed mattress a bit soft, but nice bedroom.

The flat was spacious and clean.

Despite the long list of instructions for check-in, they did not actually tell us how to find the flat, which although was on a main road, had to be accessed off of two other roads to reach the parking and lockbox. Once we had further help from the host and arrived, we realised the heating had not been put on prior to us checking in so it felt very cold. We had difficulty getting the heating to come on due to the boiler continually mis-firing. It was a 90s heating system set by an analogue thermostat which was unresponsive. The mains electricity switch was also tripping meaning power was dipping in and out. The host was in touch over text then came over to assist with the heating, which finally came on 3 hours after checking in. It just wasn’t ideal when trying to put a toddler to bed. The other amenities were a little sparse, no milk in fridge for example and opened jars and packets of food in the cupboards. The freezer seemed to have other people’s food in it. Overall, this flat just needed to be prepared a little more thoughtfully ahead of guests arriving. Heating the accommodation during the colder months is a basic need, and goes a long way to helping you feel welcome and settled.

The property was very compact , lovely and warm all facilities there we needed , the hosts went the extra mile on arrival , milk in the fridge for tea chocolates and a pack of biscuits , thought it was a lovely gesture .. and very much appreciated . Towels two bathrooms shampoo etc .. I would recommended this property , also the hosts were more than accommodating and always responds to any queries . This property deserves full marks
