"We had a lovely break in Copenhagen."

7.0

We liked the location. Just around the corner was a supermarket and a bus stop. The area was quiet. It was warm and comfortable.

There was no kettle.

Clean and well equipped, luminous and practical. Very good Internet connection and good shower as well. Good communication woth the host. Nice view and easy access.

A bit expensive (probably ok for danish standards). Could hear a bit the neighbours above.

"AVOID AT ALL COSTS, A REALLY TERRIBLE PLACE"

1.0

The location was convenient and the apartment was quite clean. Everything else was really horrible. We've stayed in hosted accommodation listed similarly many times but never encountered a worst host or more poorly advertised property.

The apartment listing is wildly misleading and badly advertised. It is not the comfortable space that is displayed in the images. It is the poorest semblance to student accommodation that we have seen. The 'bedrooms' are partitioned spaces approximately 6x8 feet in size, one with a double bed that takes up 95% of the room against the wall with about 30 cm to scuttle past to the balcony (navigating the large tv on the wall, much too big for the room), and a small bedside drawer unit at the foot of the bed taking up the rest of the space to the wall. Two small people can't scuttle past each other in this space. There is no other storage space for clothes, so bags must go under the bed. The second 'bedroom' is the same but with a sofa bed that folds out instead. The curtains on each of the four doors in the unit (needed because all of the doors are glass) are 1-2 feet too long each, so a major trip hazard as you're trying to scuttle around past each other. My teenage daughter slipped stepping on one of these trying to exit the bedroom and her large toenail caught under the door causing a significant injury so that she could not enjoy the last half of our stay. The host was totally unsympathetic. He also had a loud (we measured 70 decibels) dehumidifier running in the kitchen from 9am to 9pm that he insisted needed to be left on all day. The kitchen space with small table is the only 'living room' in the flat, so it is totally unliveable when it was too loud to hold a conversation and uncomfortable for spending any time. The host was totally unsympathetic to the totally inadequate situation that really marred our first visit to Copenhagen. The apartment was extremely overpriced and low value. We would strongly recommend overlooking this option for accommodation.

"Expensive and too small"

1.0

The location in the city is fine

When we found the apartment, there were all kinds of leftover food in cupboards. First, we had to clean up the kitchen to make it livable. The space was by far not enough to accommodate 4 people (family). Nowhere could you change your cloth, store clothes, the beds were of poor quality. The sofa bed gave you a backache every morning. Once the sofa bed folded out, it made the room inaccessible. The other bed (1.40m) was too narrow to sleep with two people. Fine accommodation for 2 people, but then the bed should be of better quality. The kitchen was good as was the bathroom. The toilet was blocked, it did not flush. Finally solved with the toilet brush. I called the hostess with the problem. He fortunately gave me the right directions, but he also told me that no service engineer was available at the moment. Can you imagine a flat where the toilet does NOT work! No plan B was available to provide an emergency solution. Noisy indoor space, many mornings containers were driven in and out The appratement was way too expensive for the comfort we were receiving in return.

"All in all, a good stay"

9.0

Location was nice. Walking distance of many interesting sites too, if I only had the time to do some sight seeing. Several restaurants and stores just around the corner. Kitchen had a huge fridge. If the stay was for longer, it would be no issue to have most meals there.

One would expect basic shower essentials, tea and coffee, for that kind of price. It took a while to get an invoice for the company.

"Small, well-equipped apartment"

8.0

This apartment is quiet and clean and has a nice balcony to sit on and enjoy the afternoon sun. There are also laundry facilities in the apartment, which are so helpful for a longer stay. Super functional kitchen. Safe parking for your bike in the courtyard. Very close to grocery stores, great felafel and shawarma restaurants and a nice bakery cafe. And host Daniel was very responsive and helpful.

Nørrebro is not the nicest neighbourhood to look at, and not super central for the classic tourist activities of Copenhagen, so might not be suitable for all travellers. That said, if you can rent a bike for your stay, which I recommend, it is very easy to get all over town. The apartment itself is super compact with virtually no space around each bed - this is very typical for Copenhagen, but a bit challenging for those of us accustomed to more space.
